It just seemed like a bad dream to me - hundreds of loud giggling women, hugging long lost girl friends and catching up on gossip, on loves had and loves lost. Was I at a St. Trinian's School Reunion? I couldn't spot Joyce Grenfell or Rupert Everett, the headmistress, and as for George Cole, I could count the number of... More

We saw Rich Hall here who was brilliantly funny. The venue was compact and intimate, but immaculate inside. Great place to see any show and great prices too, especially bar purchases. Staff very friendly too

We saw "Eric and Little Ern" here and thought the location was simply brilliant; it was easy to find, parking next door and lots of accommodation and places to eat close by. The Centre itself was very clean and staff attentive and polite.

Visited last night and from the outside this place, to be honest, looks awful. Inside is a completely different matter. This place is small but provides a great atmosphere, its modern without being tatty and the staff are engaging and really helpful. Only drawback would be small seats, economy flight sized legroom and not enough ladies toilets. Parking is an... More

My wife treated me to see Pam Ayres. She did not disappoint hilarious from start to finish. The theatre was very good with good seating but as usual not enough leg/knee room.

It was difficult to obtain the tickets ,having to go to the Town Hall ,then the website was down .Also tickets more expensive to purchase on the website than at the Town Hall !!!Why ? I hadn't been since the refurb ,not sure that I like the new arrangement ,of not having central aisle !!It makes it difficult to get... More

I have visited here twice in the last few weeks for two shows put on by local companies. I love the new seats and layout which is much more like a proper theatre, however, the sound, if you sit in the front few rows is very poor. I watched one of the shows twice, the first time half way back... More

We have enjoyed countless shows here in the past: Lonnie Donegan, Chris Farlowe, Ken Dodd, Dave Dee, That'll Be The Day, Chris Barber, Bruce Welch, and on and on. But now after refurbishment it has become a most uncomfortable venue: the tiered seats have no leg-room; to reach your seat you may have to squeeze past up to 20 guests,... More

This has the potential to be amazing but it seems to be poorly run by staff who don't really care. The actual internal building-cinema and theatre-are lovely.

Since our last visit this venue has been updated. The intimacy and layout of the theatre is the same , but the decoration and bar area seem tidier. Great to see live acts here due to the feeling of being involved as the stage is so close to the seating.
