Owner description: The Leam Boat Centre is based in beautiful Jephson Gardens along the river in Leamington Town Centre. The park's old Victorian boathouse was renovated thirteen years ago as part of the Millennium Project and it is now a thriving centre of activity. It's a lovely place to come for a day out as a family; row boats, motor boats and pedalos can be hired as and when you arrive and floating along the river for a carefree, sunlit hour is a wonderful experience. For more adventurous visitors, canoes and kayaks are also available for hire. The Leam Boat Centre also gives lessons in canoeing and kayaking and can cater to all levels of experience, from taster sessions for beginners through to training courses for instructors. Paddle Power kayak courses are held throughout the holidays for children to get their first taste of the sport. It might turn into a lifelong passion!

I visited this attraction on Saturday just gone, and both myself and a friend had a very good experience both on the water, and with the staff on site. They were very friendly, as were the people we encountered on the water, it poses nice easy stretches for amateurs, such as myself, as well as some small challenges to navigate... More

Took a 13 and 11 year old boy out for an hour and they loved it!! Myself and my husband had a canoe. It was easier than I thought and we have planned to go back with a picnic and do 2 hours!! Very friendly staff, knowledgeable and helpful.

We spent a very happy and fun hour yesterday rowing down the River Leam from the Leam Boat Centre. The prices are very reasonable (but go for the 1 hour session, the 30 mins option is to short to get very far plus you'll find yourself enjoying it so much you won't want to turn around after 15 mins) and... Very friendly staff. Even when I threw myself like a seal leaving the water onto the decking! There are a good variety of boats to choose from. We chose a Canadian canoe and the children chose a pedalo. The staff were also flexible when we swapped boats with 10 minutes to go, helping us to moor each time. A fun... More

I've been to the LBC a few times recently: my son's birthday party; a one star course; a family lesson; two more course for my son; a couple of hires and eventually trying out and buying a kayak. All the staff we have encountered have been friendly, professional and helpful and have encouraged us to learn as much as we... More

My kids have been here a couple of times over the summer for organised parties so I decided to rent a couple of kayaks one for my self and my five year old and one for my seven year old who has kayaked a few times before. Service was good and at £18 for 2 boats I thought not bad... More

We hired a pedalo for half an hour, for a family of 2 adults and 2 x 7 yr old kids. The staff were friendly, the activity reasonably priced and the river Leam is beautiful to tootle along. You can even hire VW Beetle style pedalos, as well as lots of other water-based activities, like motorboats, canoes, row boats, etc.... More

I had a fantastic day on the above course and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of starting canoeing. It surprised me just how much there is to the sport and how technical it can be, the course was worth while and really good fun. Very professional friendly staff, and will be back for the two star course! Shane
