Museum at Royal Pump Rooms

Nice exhibition explaining how the pump rooms were used to help people with the spa water. The Turkish bath room is lovely.

I went to the café last Thursday and there was a lovely young lady and gentlemen working there. They were both very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely go again. Lovely cup of coffee and selection of cakes.

On entering the building you are faced with the tourist info which had a wealth of information for L/Spa plus surrounding ares, this then led into the Museum which was very informative. We finished off in the cafe sitting outside on a lovely day. Very happy

Very interesting insight into the development of Leamington as a Spa. Also an interesting range of paintings.

Second rate food, tasted stale too, disengaged staff, would only have a cup of tea if I ever went again

A friend and I visited the Pump rooms cafe today and the service was terrible. The lady serving behind the counter was surly and unhelpful and clearly didn't want to be there. I think if she'd cracked a smile she would have gone in to shock. If you don't like working with the public don't take a customer service job.

The Pump Rooms, as a working Spa, closed down many years ago and sadly Leamington Spa lost its large heated hydrotherapy pool and physiotherapy facilities. This is where Queen Victoria 'took the waters' and Leamington became Royal Leamington Spa. There is still a tap outside if you are brave enough to want to taste them. They have been turned into... An excellent town museum and no charge. Has a wide range of information ranging from the history of the Turkish Baths, WWI and local subjects of interest.

We found the museum really interesting. Amazing how health in general has improved over the last couple of centuries. The artefacts and exhibits of the baths and medicine in general were well put together. Yes a shame that the spa is not in current use - it was until thirty years ago! and all in a fine building which is... More

A great little museum and gallery. Very interesting to see how things worked. Just a pity we couldn't follow in the footsteps of some of our eastern European friends and have the baths working.
