Small Museum £3 entrance fee for adults, The Museum is very well laid out plenty of information boards and a few exhibits about 20- 30 minutes to go round but worth looking at. The Museum faces the River Ribble where you will find benches and grass to picnic on.

Although this is a small museum, it is well out together and quite informative. The area is rich in history and although there is not a great deal here what there was told the story, if you are in the area you should pop in, we enjoyed it.

A small local museum describing finds in Ribchester. Entrance for adults is £3.00. Unfortunately, the Roman site itself is not visible. The museum is informative - lots of information boards. The exhibits are relatively few, but interesting. There are foundations of Roman baths nearby. Ribchester itself is a pretty village in a beautiful setting. So, a low-key, pleasant afternoon visit.... More

Ribchester is a beautiful village in the Ribble Valley. Found it quite by accident whilst driving around the area. There are lovely country pubs and tea shops which serve delicious home cooked food. The Roman Museum and Baths are really interesting. Take a picnic and relax by the side of the river which has lovely view over the valley. Definitely... More

Our first ever visit to Ribchester . Museum is small but well laid out & staff friendly. Lovely Church next door is also worth a look. The Roman granary is interesting and the Roman bath house a short walk away looks very interesting but sadly we couldn't get close to it as access is in summer months only. The village... More

I last came here about 15 years ago, and was very pleasantly surprised to find it had been redone. The displays are informative and well laid-out, and there are some impressive monuments. The museum is just the right size for children (not so big that they lose interest!) I thought it was very good value for the £3 adults entrance... More

If you are interested in Roman history a great place to visit, the entrance fee is minimal and the museum is very informative. However, upon arrival there was no one to greet up and after a short wait someone came from upstairs and asked for our entrance fee, then shoved a gift aid form at us, I felt I had... More

A short but interesting visit to the Roman museum. Takes about 30 minutes to view the inside but then you can also view the Roman baths just down the road. I thought there would be more to see and it was over rather quickly. Still worth going to though if you are in the area and interested in Roman history.

As a keen researcher and roman history enthusiast I was very impressed by the museum and very pleasantly surprised by the content of the museum and the professionalism of the staff. The exhibits are varied and interesting and the 3 sites (museum, bath house and granery) show how important Ribchester must have been to the Romans. There is a very good Map in...
