Great garden centre with unusual plants and the setting is like an African Village, with sound effect gently coming through the foliage. Superb unique dining setting. You just have to see it to believe it.

If the weather is kind good to eat al fresco with lots of interesting areas to choose from. Ordering system a little haphazard but seems to work fine.

Well....where do I start?! I have had many a fabulous night here, looked after very well by Marie and Kel, as well as the rest of the staff. X'mas nights, tribute nights, and more recently my hen do....it was absolutely brilliant! It's the most perfect place to go, and always enjoy a night out here. The food is always extra... More

I was so pleased to be able to take my friend and her Kenyan husband to Akamba during a visit last week. He loved the whole feel of the place, thrilled to be able to enjoy a Tusker. However, when ordering lunch, he asked for a large glass of tap water for his diabetic wife and went on to request... More

I felt I just had to respond to the earlier review of the above party night. It was truly a great night, a fabulous atmosphere, with lots of dancing and, thanks to Matt from UB40, a great sing-a-long to "Red, Red Wine!". The resident singer also did a great job. I have several friends who have recommended the party nights... More

We didn't really have any expectations for this with it being a 'Garden centre' but wow it is amazing, our 3yr old loved getting lost in Africa! The metal zoo was awesome, he loved seeing them and being able to touch them! We stayed for coffee n cake and the restaurant was great, full of atmosphere!

Went to the Saturday night Motown evening and overall, came away quite disappointed. Given the cost of the tickets I didn’t consider this night out to be good value for money. The food at best could be described as very average, lacking in taste and imagination. The singer in my opinion was not up to the job. I have heard... More

When my friend from Cambridge, came to visit us with her grand-daughter, I couldn't think of a more exciting place to take them to than "Akamba". This is our umpteenth visit, as we like to share this unique experience with anyone who pays us a visit!! There's something here for everyone. It's just magical, and you actually feel like you're... I love this place 2nd visit and you cannot fail to be impressed by the sculptures and whole african theme. I plan to go back in summer just to chill out while the kids play at the *beach* (sandpit)

We visited Akamba today and loved it until we entered the restaurant. I was instantly overpowered by the smell of the? paraffin heater. It made me feel ill with a bad throat and headache and claustrophobic :-(. I've been very ill since returning home so not the best experience. I do not usually suffer from claustrophobia! Not the best meal... More
