I visited here with my children last week. They thought the gardens were lovely and enjoyed pretending they were in the jungle. Unfortunately the aviary was closed as there were not enough staff that day, however the man in the gift shop was very apologetic and polite. I'm afraid that's when the experience started to go wrong. I took the... More

What a great evening of Reggae Magic; 25 friends, and we all had a great time. The food is appalling and bland; come on Akamba, get your food up to scratch so it meets the standard of your entertainment!

This place is really quirky and very different to most plant centres. There were so many hidden attractions amongst the plants. The atmosphere was great with music playing in the background. Something different around every bend. I really enjoyed my visit and the plants very good value for money. We didn't eat on this occasion but we will at some... More

Having lived no more that 20 minutes drive from Akamba for the last 30 of so years I had never heard of it until last weekend. As we already had lunch prepared our visit was an exploratory one, we enjoyed a coffee at tables shaded by palm fronds but we will certainly return and sample the African/Caribbean menu soon. Akamba... More

What a fun place to eat. Like being under a maraquee in Africa. Really quirky and fun. Lovely food too.

I went here last week the children were enjoying themselves on the beach , there are trails where you can see large metal animals and jungle type plants all in all I think that children would enjoy this place and so would the adults as they can buy food and drinks

Well who'd have thought this was even here? Wow, we stumbled upon this place by accident after taking a wrong turn and wondered what it was. Well the minute you walk through the entrance which is surrounded by amazing metal animal statues you literally feel like you've entered another country. What a beautiful relaxing walk around a small but gorgeous... More
