When my friend from Cambridge, came to visit us with her grand-daughter, I couldn't think of a more exciting place to take them to than "Akamba". This is our umpteenth visit, as we like to share this unique experience with anyone who pays us a visit!! There's something here for everyone. It's just magical, and you actually feel like you're... I love this place 2nd visit and you cannot fail to be impressed by the sculptures and whole african theme. I plan to go back in summer just to chill out while the kids play at the *beach* (sandpit)

We visited Akamba today and loved it until we entered the restaurant. I was instantly overpowered by the smell of the? paraffin heater. It made me feel ill with a bad throat and headache and claustrophobic :-(. I've been very ill since returning home so not the best experience. I do not usually suffer from claustrophobia! Not the best meal... More

Akamba never fails to be a delight and it brings back such wonderful memories that it's almost like being back home again. Whatever the season it is lovely to be there and always brings some new surprises. The plant stock is first class as is the interesting range of coffees, cakes and other delicious dishes. The background music just oozes... More

Be transported into a different world!! Especially if you visit on a hot summers day, you could actually be in the middle of Africa. Nice for meeting up with friends for coffee, could do with improving food somewhat. And not all that clean by way of seats, wraps etc, but I guess typical African feel and is very different from... This place is fantastic, the food was well presented, tasty and left me fully satisfied. It was so good I have booked my birthday evening ng there. It's a great family venue too, the kids will love the metal zoo.

I hadn't been here for a few years but it's as good as ever, and with a new attraction. The African Bird Walk was really good. Just £2 entry per person. You are given a bird identification chart and once you sit quietly the birds come out. The life size animal sculptures are great fun. The shop sells original Kenyan... More
