i was there this past weekend and was impressed. The abbey is massive and imposing. It can be seen for miles arount. the grouds are filled with large old trees and the abbey is surrounded by beautiful flower beds. The inside was lovely with giganting high vaulted ceilings. The parishioners were kind and welcoming. this was a very lovely church.... More

This is an amazing building, full of rich history and great staff. I spent a week at the abbey for a business retreat and it was so refreshing. I was there for 5 full days and didn't tire of the location. I would definitely recommend it.

Well situated in the centre of town within easy reach of good parking facilities. We were just able to walk around the gardens before closing time at 6pm and loved what we saw. Didn't have enough time to go inside the abbey which was a shame, but it was a Sunday. We shall look forward to going back another time.

Look out in particular for the statue of The Virgin at the east end of the building but there is plenty of other things to see particularly some very fine stonework. Afterwards walk around the grounds - there are some beautiful old trees.

The day we visited was a glorious summers day and the Abbey looked great ...inside it was stunning with an amazing ceiling and great windows ..my particular interest was the plaque for Edward Plantagenet and the bones of the Duke of Clarence which were hidden away ....overall this was a great place to visit whether you like your history or...
