We visited the Bentlif gallery as invited guests for a preview evening for the Pump Lane Artists - Out of the Blue Exhibition. I was really impressed with the gallery, it is in the centre of Maidstone but it has a kind of rural aspect. In the foyer is a large white sculpture of Lady Godiva on horseback. There are... More

So glad you enjoyed your visit. There is lots to see in the collection galleries and as you experienced, some really lovely temporary exhbitions. You may be interested in the People, Places and Things tour on the 6th June which is a history tour of the building with handling of objects and followed with a cream tea! More

Theres a lot of different things to see that there should be at least somthing for everyone. The kids really enjoyed the dinosaurs & it is done really well. They also had activity sheets to do on the way around which kept them alert to what was there & what they were looking at. All the staff that we dealt... More

Thank you for your lovely comments. As your children loved the dinosaurs, you might like to know that we have a special Dino Day on Saturday 13th June, featuring an anamatronic baby T- Rex. He's loud, fast and scary!...He will be in the museum courtyard at different times during the day and there are some additional activities for children to... More

There was a school trip happening while we were but the children were engaged in the displays and talks (we listened in as well which was very interesting). Free entry but well worth a good donation.

There is something for everyone here. Great to take the kids to on a wet day. Art work changes but the art was wonderful and so different to each other when I went. If your driving you will have to park in the shopping centre and walk down.
