Fantastic day out whether you're a family or singleton. Very well presented exhibits and lot of opportunity to 'handle' things and interact which is such a breath of fresh air for a museum visit. The staff are very welcoming and friendly (unless it's the school master or a themed day!) and the cafe is wonderful. Seriously good cakes baked 'in... More

A nice museum, with incredibly helpful and poliet volunteers. We took a picnic and ate in the grounds on a sunny day. Mu husband really enjoyed the telephone room where all the exibits were useable.

Took 3 grandchildren here on a wet afternoon during half-term. A family ticket costs £22. This gave 3 children (aged 13, 10 & 8) and me 3 hours of entertainment. As we walked in we caught the 'professor' giving a demonstration of 'experiments'. This was interesting to start but got monotonous and went on for far too long. After half... More

The museum is fabulous, the volunteers are doing a great job of running it and are a mine of information about the history of the house and surrounding area. The tearoom is good with homemade sandwiches and cakes, the lady there brings in her homegrown rhubarb, jams and chutneys. I bought some fresh rhubarb and made a lovely crumble and... More

I was really surprised when I went here, it is actually a little gem! Lots of interesting things to see and well worth a visit. I did an Easter egg hunt with my Daughter and it was really good. Definately worth a visit.

I am slightly reluctant to write this review because a major part of the charm is that, judging by the lack of people on a bank holiday weekend, it remains a bit of an unknown quantity. However for the sake of the absolutely brilliant volunteers that help to make it so interactive I'm going to share the secret. I had... More

Our grand-daughter aged 9 has been to the Museum three years running to see Father Christmas. Asked if she would like to go again this weekend, or was she bored with it, she said 'I never get bored with it, I love it'! She found it hard to decide which was her favourite part but eventually settled on the Transport... More

Having wanted to visit this museum for a long time I was glad to make use of a free open day to look round with a friend, last year. The house and its garden are very good. The museum is quit a lot bigger than it appears from the road and its small car park. There's also a good recreation... More

Great Local Museum with specific Milton Keynes history as well as history in the United Kingdom. Has lots of little halls and rooms filled with historic pieces. If you are not into Museum's and want to like them this is a great place to start
