Having never visited the museum before despite living in Milton Keynes, I took the opportunity to take my 4 year old daughter to see Santa and the Victorian Christmas. The museum was great, so much to see and they encourage you to be interactive with the displays. We loved the telecoms room, the shopping street and the toy display. Having... More

Don't try asking the locals for directions, I did and got blank looks! This is a surprisingly good museum in two areas, local life (including what was there before the new city) and also the history of Telecommunications. The now regionalised BT museum collection has an outpost here. But one thing sets the place out on its own. You may... More

Great suggestion! We'd not come across this poem before but wonder if the snowman's creator,Liz Leyh (who also made the concrete cows) did know it? Thanks for taking the time to write a review, and for introducing us to the poem. More

We only live a short drive from this museum, so decided to take a visit when we found ourselves with a couple of hours to spare. We had to change all our other plans as we spent over 4 hours here! The museum is Fabulous. Slightly eclectic but i think that only adds to its charms. We took our 9... More

Amazing review 'MrsFeets' - thank you so much for taking the time to review us, and for those precious five stars. It always gives the team a real boost to hear how much someone enjoyed their visit, and your review certainly made us smile. Believe it or not, we really don't want to be a hidden gem. We'd rather many... More

I visited the museum today with my Dad expecting only to be there 2hrs but we were there for closer to 4. Fantastic and fun volunteers ensuring you are given every opportunity to interact, with the telephones especially. A great afternoon, finished off by tea and cake in the cafe! 5 stars!

Hi Alyson and we have to say, better late than never. We are still welcoming visitors who've lived in the area as long as you and never come to see us so anything you can do to get the word out will be very appreciated - especially as we're now expanding! So glad you enjoyed your visit. More

What an absolutely fantastic experience. I have visited this museum many times and thought at it was mediocre, this time I was absolutely amazed by the transformation. It has been given an injection of cash and has certainly found a new lease of life. The children were encouraged to touch most of the exhibits even toasting bread! How many museums... More

What a brilliant museum from start to finish. We was able to choose and play a disc on the old juke box on entry, chatted with our friends on the phone in the old telephone boxes near the tea room.Toasties cakes and coffee really scrummy, big choice of homemade cakes and all food and drinks at a really good price.... What a fantastic review Lynn. Thank you so much for taking the time to write at such length, and for all the lovely positive comments. They are so important to us. As for our Beaver visitors, it was a bit of a takeover, but we're so glad you still managed to see everything and get a good meal in the... More

I was not expecting this!!! But what a great few hours. Being one of the lucky generation to be born in the early 50's with great memories of growing up I was amazed at how these guys have put this all together. You are encouraged to touch. This museum is a gem. Fascinating , Interactive, Unexpected. My 5 year old daughter went on a school trip and talked about nothing else until we went back so should could show us around. Staffed by an army of friendly enthusiastic volunteers. Has, as everyone else seems to mention, a very nice tea room! Went on Sunday afternoon, we were... More
