So for our little boys 4th Birthday we decided to arrange a party here at the farm. We had 15 young children along with their parents and some close friends and family. On arrival we were met by a friendly chap who pulled myself and the Mrs aside to go through the days plans. After that he took off to... More

stumbled upon this..... what a great farm. Interacting with the animals, able to stroke, feed and see the animals up close. The joy being able to see the little calf's up close and bottle feed them, and the little lambs too. Holding the little baby chick made my little one smile. i recommend this place with anyone who has kids.

Found it a little pricey especially when you need to pay extra for tractor ride and donkey rides. The cafe i would avoid and take pack lunch and drinks with you but if your planning a full day out here ain't the place 2 hours is enough to do it all, after that kids get bored

I visited today with my 30month old daughter, my sister with her 4 year old and 18month old. This is my 4th Visit to the farm. Each and every time it's been excellent! The farm is a real working farm, with animals that do (as many of the reviewers have complained) smell... they're animals! It was £7 for each adult... More

Lovely farm, loads to do for a full day. Loads of animals, enthusiastic staff and brilliant petting session. Good outdoor and indoor play areas. The cafe was disapointing though, very poor service, chaotic and food not good. We will take a picnic next time!

We've been here a few times and each time there have been changes....(good changes) It is a little pricey but what isn't these days, to include the donkey rides and tractor ride in the price is something that should be looked at. Easter egg hunt I thought was fantastic, first time doing it this year and will definitely go back... More

Third visit here we come every Easter family tradition now. Lovely we'll run farm loads to see and do. Pets corner is run really well by informative people who try really hard to ensure no one is left out and the shy children get the same chances to fees and stroke the baby animals as the confident ones. Good prices... More

We visited Smithills farm today, and we are far from impressed. For what it is, it's quite expensive, especially paying for the extras like tractor and donkey rides. The donkeys looked tired and were being dragged along as they didn't want to be doing rides anymore. I felt bad for them and regretted buying donkey rides for my children. The... More
