Went with my niece and great niece (24 and 18 months) great day out loads to see £7 for adults, £1 each for tractor ride free for under 2. Even though busy it is very spacious. Animal corner where you get to stroke and feed the animals. Staff are friendly. Reasonable priced cafe but you can also take your own... More

Firstly the price. Very very costly for a family of 4. The farm itself is well, a farm. The milking station stinks to high heaven. I nearly passed out with the smell. The indoor play area is filthy with badly placed inflatables. The outdoor play area we didn't bother with. The toilets were grubby with no toilet roll and obviously... More

Our first visit today was lovely. Our girls had a blast! Animals all looked very well looked after, staff were friendly and very helpful and all looked happy. Tractor ride could of been longer but was still fun. I love how the bouncey castles are included as normally places charge for a couple of mins! Will definately be going back!... More

Although it looks a little ramshackle it adds to it's attraction and baring in mind it is a working farm. It was really nice the staff very pleasant and helpful and answered questions with ease. Demonstration of milking which was geared to the young schoolchildren that were there, very informative for them. The petting area was amazing being able to... More

After travelling down a precarious pot holey road we reached the farm, the entrance fee was £20 for 2 adults and a child, our under 2 was free, we also paid for some animal feed and a donkey ride. Initially we thought that this was quite expensive for a farm, however, once we had finished our visit we realised that... More

We have been to Smithhills on 2 occasions now! Reasonably priced, purchase food for the kids to feed to the animals. The petting area is amazing, you are allowed to pet and feed groups of animals, our little ones loved it. The cafe is again reasonably priced and has really nice food, though weve also taken a picnik and used... More

This was our 1st trip to Smithills and it was fantastic. My class had a great time and the activities on offer were excellent. All activities were very well organised on a carousel system. All the animals were happy and provided an excellent learning opportunity for my class. The workers cared for the animals well and were excellent with the... More

This is the 5th year that the reception class I work in have visited the farm and it's just as good each time. The staff are fabulous and are great with the children, happy to answer any questions, no matter how bizzare. There is just enough to do to fill the day and places to go if the weather isn't... More

Really entertaining. The staff are friendly, polite & engaging. Lots to see - my boy aged 5 loved holding the chicks & feeding the animals. The Tractor ride & donkeys were good for small children & it was well organised. Definitely recommend.

Visited today, the adventure playground is not suitable for toddlers, which is surely their main clientele, there is a tractor in the play area which has no seat and looks unsafe for children to play on. There is an area with ride on cars, Wendy houses etc, this was filthy. The animals in some areas were overcrowded, with 13 goats... More
