We took the grandchildren there for an afternoon out, it tuned out to be the best part of a day. Kids loved it.

Firstly I have to say that we have visited Smithills farm on several occasions and have always enjoyed ourselves. However there are a few pro's and con's - The Pros: I would say the best part is Pet's corner. The staff bring out different animals that the children and adults can help feed and touch, ranging from baby chicks to... More

We were invited to a kids birthday party here so we didn't pay to get in but I would say it was value for money. We were on site for the party for about 3 hours but we could have done a couple more hours easily. The staff really made the day they were fantastic with all the kids. They... More

Just got back and was very disappointed with smithills. There are better farms to visit. Normally a trip to a good farm is an all dat event-this was just a couple of hours. The outside play area is good for 5years plus but the two little ones in our group couldn't go on anything and very frustrated. The baby changing... More

Every time we visit smithills farm we are never disappointed. Lots to do, lots to see for everyone. The staff all make such an effort and the interaction with the animals is so worth it. We go every year and talk about our previous visits frequently.

I booked a birthday party for my 2 year old and 5 of his friends. The website states the party total must be a minimum of 10 however when I called up they were more than happy to accommodate me. Once I paid the deposit I was sent a thank you letter and some little invitations. I wasn't sure what... More

We took our 14 month old grandson here on a cold but sunny February day. There were lots of animals to see at close quarters so ideal for very small people, they all looked well cared for and in clean conditions. The milking was good to see, a muddy, smelly sight but authentic not sanitised. The cafe is basic but... More

This farm takes really good care of their animals and it's well worth visiting. They had a good selection of gorgeous animals and the talks at Pets Corner were frequent and very good. The staff are lovely. The food in the café was excellent. Well worth visiting, with our without kids.

I had never been here or heard of the place until my sons out of school club took him and some others on a small trip. He came home to tell me they are towed round in some sort of trailer with no safety belts or thoughts for safety. Ok so your saying do I take a child's word for... More
