We arrived at Adlington Hall on Sunday afternoon. As the property doesn't open until 2.00 we drove into a car park to wait, along with lots of other people. As we all milled around the gates which had a notice saying to enter at the main gates, an attendant eventually came and informed us that there was a charity garden... More

Thanks for your comments and the feedback about the signage for the NGS event. This is very useful and defintely something we will look to improve on next year. The smell is unfortunately caused by the septic tank and it is due to the direction of the wind and the recent run of hot weather - this mix of cirumstances... More

The House and gardens are open to the public from 2-5 every Sunday and Bank holidays. There is a large shaded car park which is free. First there is a tour of the house by very knowledgeable guides then you are free to wander around the gardens. A free map shows you a lovely trail to follow. The house is... More

Thanks for this review, we love it and couldn't have written it better ourselves. To explain the price of the Hall and Gardens entry at £9, it is set at this because the tour lasts anywhere upwards of an hour and is guided with our knowledgable tour guides. Hopefully we will be able to welcome you again the future. More

I had the most wonderful wedding reception here on the 31st of May 2014. The staff were so, so helpful and accommodated all my wishes - nothing was too much hassel and nothing was impossible! Everything about the day was perfect from the afternoon tea in the courtyard of the Old Hall, to the chocolate bunnies hidden in the maze,... More

We attended a wedding in the Hunting Lodge. The staff were very professional in keeping everything moving and cueing when my husband was to start playing the piano; perhaps popping corks during the ceremony wasn't the best idea as it was a distraction. Food was lovely and perfect portion size for me. Great wedding package venue if you want to... More

We were slightly paniced by this review when we saw 'Great wedding package venue if you want to have the hassle of doing everything yourself!' Fortunately we've contacted the customer and she kindly clarified that she'd missed a word out and it should read: Great wedding package venue if you DON'T want to have the hassle of doing everything yourself!... Arrived to unpolite staff who gave us filthy looks and were only intrested in taking our money off us. Was told we had to go round in a tour group after she had taken our money (later found out we couldn't walk round on our own because we the public couldn't be trusted because of thieves along time ago) already... Another great Burns night. We have been regulars at this January Knees Up for some years. Same droll dance caller who manages to chart a journey through the colliding couples! Straightforward Burns Night fare which was served expeditiously and efficiently by attentive staff, a most enjoyable evening,,,,

My husband and I had the good fortune to attend a recent organ recital in the famous Great Hall at Adlington. After a quick look around the splendid gardens, we entered the Hall itself. The organ room was truly beautiful (there is a photograph on their website which gives something of a sense of it), with a warm welcome from... More
