Another great Burns night. We have been regulars at this January Knees Up for some years. Same droll dance caller who manages to chart a journey through the colliding couples! Straightforward Burns Night fare which was served expeditiously and efficiently by attentive staff, a most enjoyable evening,,,,

My husband and I had the good fortune to attend a recent organ recital in the famous Great Hall at Adlington. After a quick look around the splendid gardens, we entered the Hall itself. The organ room was truly beautiful (there is a photograph on their website which gives something of a sense of it), with a warm welcome from... More

Hidden gem - Had a wonderful afternoon visit to Adlington Hall, Grounds and their Tearoom which had especially good cake! Glad we came early as there was so much to see. I would definitely go back again and would recommend visiting early afternoon in ensure you get to see everything. Found Guide and Staff all very welcoming, and friendly.

Attended a family wedding here yesterday. Sadly the weather did not lend itself to exploring the grounds but the attention to detail and service was impeccable. While the wedding party braved the weather for photos the rest of the guests were well looked after in the Great Hall, with bucks fizz, juice for the children and some lovely hot nibbles.... More

As boasted by the website: "Adlington Hall lies in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, set in glorious gardens and surrounded by the 2000-acre Adlington estate..." What it forgets to mention is the sad fact that the archaic, narrow-minded and racist attitudes that pervaded society 700 years ago when the Hall was first built, have also been perfectly preserved by... I went with a group of people to visit this lovely manor house, we had a guided tour of the whole house and gardens by 2 different guides, they were informative and excellent guides, I enjoyed hearing about the history of both the Manor House, Gardens and outer buildings...it's a very old building believed to be built as early as... Attended a wedding here in July. A sensational venue and beautiful grounds to kill time while the endless photographs are taken. Only two gripes: black polo shirts may be 'cool' in an inner city bistro, but look terribly out of place for staff serving at a wedding where all the guests have dressed specially, and although most of the staff... A lovely surprise of a small house. We had our own group visit of the house. We were put into two groups and given a guided tour of the house. The guides were very informative. The gardens are magnificent. Adlington Hall is still used as a family home.

Family of 8 came for Sunday Lunch after being highly recommended by friends. We found the booking process to be very straightforward, service fantastic and food exceptional! Looking forward to returning again soon and would definitely recommend.
