We don't live in the UK anymore ... but took the chance to revisit Tilgate Park after years of not going. (I learnt to windsurf there many years ago!). The carpark is bigger and reasonably priced without having skinny sized parking spaces, nice loos, bigger play park, wonderful walled garden, great ice creams, bargain nature park that my children loved,... Lovely park where families meet for large picnics. I think I have seen fishermen on the lake and also boats.

We didn't get to spend much time here, but it seemed like a really nice park. It's huge, so great for walking. There is a big lake in the middle with swans and geese. Go Ape is on site here, including a juniors site. There is a parking lot and charges are reasonable.

After a 5 mile Nordic walk in the forest we ended our trip in the Cafe in the walled garden. I was served by a lovely , friendly , and helpful young lady called Marcey (hope that's the correct spelling). It was busy in the cafe but the service from Marcey made me feel that I was an important customer... More

After eating at S&W we enjoyed a walk in the park, a go on the outdoor gym & the Go Ape. I think this is a great park to bring the family as there is lots to do, what with the nature centre (which we visited the last time we came), the big children's play area, the outdoor gym, Go... More

This is the most entertaining and (more than) reasonably priced day out with my toddler. I bring her here every chance I get and she loves it. Plus she is exhausted at the end of the trip which always helps. I always suggest it as a day out for those with children especially the farm.

Huge park of at least 500 acres with 2 big lakes one of which saw sir Malcolm Campbell test bluebird jet boat. Recent flood defence enhancements have been a huge benefit to the park , but on a downside the parking cost is large now when it used to be free for an hour to walk your dogs. Shame. There's... I walk my dog there and its beautiful. Well kept and some really great paths to explore. Dog likes swimming in the lake as well. You can get a coffee or eat in the restaurant (restaurant without the dog). There is also the animal sanctuary with its Cafe.

In the middle of Crawley, this park was a lovely surprise. Beautiful scenery and surroundings, great for walking. Beautiful countryside and nice play area for kids.

Areas of woodland and landscaped parkland that are both suitable for exercising dogs off their leads. What we noticed most was the complete variety of people sharing the same space. Young families, older couples, cyclists, dog walkers, buggies, scooters and ramblers all enjoying much the same. Well worth a visit.
