Tilgate park is fantastic for picnics, walking, family get togethers, larking about. There is a boating lake, you can fish, 'Go-Ape' an eatery, the nature centre, huge amounts of parking at a reasonable cost. This is somewhere the kids can run off all that energy. A great place

It is easy to spend a whole day at Tilgate Park. For younger children, there is a great playground plus the nature centre is excellent value. I was very impressed by the new additions since last year, such as the reindeer, racoon dog and mongoose. There is a choice of a restaurant or cafe for food. The toilet facilities are... More

This is a great space with lots of amenities I love the park run on a sat morning the boats and the animals. The only problem is the lack of public transport there. When you go there you forget you are in the middle of town.

We visited as a family with our 21mth old son. The animals were easy to see as the cages were right down to the floor. A variety of different animals/birds. Well keep area. Animal talks from the keepers throughout the day. All for £2 per adult, £1 per child. Under 2's free. Then there is the main park to enjoy... More

Lots of great activities for the children, great play park which is free. The nature centre has a small charge but was well worth it for the experience. The kids loved seeing the meercats and the goats in particular. The Cafe just outside the nature centre was excellent, really good menu and the meals were well presented and the food... More
