An amazing escape right in the middle of a housing estate. Far reaching, landscaped park with a number of lakes and nice wildfowl. Has good facilities like pub, go ape, coffee shop etc. The mini zoo on site, is very good with a good range of animals and birds. The whole park s excellent value for money, as you only... More

This was a bit of a recce trip for me, as I hadn't been for a few years, but I was impressed. And the kids were even more impressed. Two boys - 9 and 7 - found more than enough to do in the animal park/zoo (amazing value at £4 for all of us) and walled garden area. We didn't... More

The animal park/zoo extremely good value for money, lots of different animals to see and learn about. Only down side is we were using a wheel chair and going up hill was a bit of task but still fun! We walked all around the park and lakes, stopped for refreshments at the various vendors, the peace garden was lovely. The... More

Tilgate park is simply beautiful. Over the years it has been it'refreshed' but not to it's detriment. The lake and the surrounding areas are clean and safe for walking, They have a Go Ape there now as well. Obviously it gets busy during the summer months and parking can be a bit tricky, but it is a lovely place. The... More

We went here on the bank holiday weekend,so it was quite busy, with lots of people having picnics and also in the smith and Weston restaurant. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and then had a lovely walk around the park. We will defiantly be returning again.

Great place for the family. They have recently upgraded the animal area with several new animals and they all look very happy. The staff are helpful and friendly and we even saw the meerkats being fed which our little one enjoyed a lot.

Tilgate park is ideal for all the family whether you're a couple or a family there is something for everyone. The park has been updated recently and offers so much more than before. There is a nature trail, an adventure playground, gardens, a lake with boats, craft shops and a lovely little cafe. The park is ideal for a cheap... More
