Fantastic day spent here, a lot bigger than I thought, including the woodland walk on the other side of the M25. £2 for entry to the animals I thought was very reasonable. Smith and Westons was very expensive, and they do not serve drinks in pint glasses but the staff were polite and courteous.

Tilgate park is a wonderful open space in the heart of Crawley. There's a small animal zoo, walled garden with cafe, a Go Ape set up, an enormous expanse of grassed area plus children's playground and a lake where you can hire kayaks. It makes for a delightful day out with, something for all ages. The car park is always... More

We took our grandson who loves the play park there. It has plenty of climbing things for him. The zoo is nice and in a lovely setting under trees mostly. The only disappointing thing this time was that we were hoping to take him on a rowing boat but they were not in action. No notice to tell us why... More

Haven't been here for some time but on a chilly weekend at the beginning of July we visited with 10 and 12 year old grandchildren who really have seen the world and 'done it all. with their parents, schools and clubs. The zoo was far too tame for them, they had been on much higher tree walks in France and... More

I went for a run 3 times while I was away and it was absolutely fine but I would not want to be around there after dark!

Lovely lakes and walks around it, great little farm and play area, a perfect day out! Especially with a picnic! Would most definitely recommend! Parking just £3 for the day, very good value.

The lake, the woods and the gardens are glorious. The zoo is great for kids and adults alike. Worth a visit in each season to see the colours change.

It was our first visit to Tilgate Park and what a treat it was, there is so much to do with a lake, golf, animals and a maze and beautiful Gardens. We stopped at The Walled Garden Cafe which was absolutely delightful, I had a Brie ploughmans which was served on a slate with a chunky piece of fresh bread,... More

Always worth a visit, always take a picnic as the smith and westerns charge a small fortune for food that can lead to disapointment. The park benefits from large open space so its always easy to find a nice spot.

Excellent, clean. Varous places to eat but could be pricey so take a picnic. Plenty of walks around the lake, Peace Gardens, Walled garden, animal farm (£2 entry on writing) just a blissful day meandering around
