Great for all, from walking around the lake to visiting the Nature Centre with Meerkats and other animals. Then having a picnic, tea in the cafe or the restaurant.

Plenty to see and do with extensive walks, three lakes to enjoy and a Nature Park with birds, animals and reptiles, as well as a fascinating ant run in one of the indoor areas. Great for families as there's also an Ape run for the kids as well as a smaller version for the littler ones. There's a Wild West... More

We live locally and have used the park for generations. There are varied activities available - just simply taking the kids to ride bikes around the lake is a good way to get some air and have a break. The kids playground is good and always busy. I've no experience of the go ape but it always seems popular. The... More

Visited the walled garden cafe today with my daughter and my two young grandchildren. After a enjoyable walk we decided to have a hot drink and cake. The seating area inside the cafe was disgusting. Food all over the floor. Every table was dirty covered in left over food. We had wet wipes and cleaned our own table. Another family... More

I thought Tilgate Park would be a simple suburban park, but that's wrong. It's lovely, well kept, and full of surprises. Just count the number of tree species. Nice paths. Some geocache. Well managed parking. Good facilities. And the zoo is a gem. It's not massive, but well done. Great for kids 5-10.

Tilgate Park has undergone a transformation in the past few years. The lakes have been drained and landscaped and new attractions have been welcomed. There is now Go Ape, with activities for younger children as well as older people who are feeling a tad adventurous. There are play areas with a wide range of play equipment to encourage imaginative play.... More
