Stanton is such a great place for a leisurely walk, or a run It's is a country park and Local Nature Reserve a few minutes drive away from the centre of Swindon. It has a huge extensive woodland and a large lake. The Park also contains a Scheduled Ancient Monument- the site of a Roman Villa (although there are no... More

Lovely walk round the lake with a picnicking table to enjoy the scenery. There's a few different walks and Roman ruins to check out.

This is a favourite place of mine, and the dogs. No leads are required perfectly safe for kids and dogs. Could do with a cafe as a lot of people turn up with Costa coffees before their walk. Toilets to the back if the ranger house. Bee keeper there too plenty of walks etc really lovely.

In the spring you can watch the lambing taking place in the open attached field. The restaurant and hotel in the grounds... More

Went for a morning wander with the kids as we wanted something to do local that was free. I heard Stanton was good, having done most other local parks. walks, etc. thought we'd give it a whirl. NOT disspapointed. OK, so the board in farm car park had events leaflet and maybe I feel could have had maps for people... More

We have been coming to Stanton Park for years (I even went into labour here!) and I now bring my toddler to explore. We love looking for wildlife and regularly see squirrels, sheep, swans and ducks and we were really lucky to see a hedgehog too. I read a few reviews where people complained about the mud. It's an lake.... More

Stanton Park is a delightful wooded park just East of Swindon. There is plenty of parking and lots of varied long walks through the woods and around the lakes. It also has a large apiary with very informed custodians. There aren't any areas for refreshments, so bring along your own supplies. There are toilets near the carpark.
