The house is a little gem. There is also a walled garden. « less

We stayed near this attraction. We wasn't intending to visit lydiard house but we stayed up the road. We decided to visit instead of travelling an hour to our chosen place, we were so glad we did the house and grounds were amazing. Well done Swindon council for saving this piece of history. We visited during a heritage open weekend... More

We visited this park with our two friends on Saturday afternoon, it was a beautiful sunny day and we enjoyed walking around the grounds and the lake, but we found it a bit odd having to pay to walk round the walled garden, which we didn't do! Also I was very disappointed as there was no access to the church.

This is a lovely park with a beautiful lake full of ducks and swans, an adventure playground for children of all ages and a lovely little café. Loads of space, so even on a bank holiday weekend it was not overcrowded and very peaceful. Lovely place for a walk or take a picnic and stay all day!

I stopped here for a half a day on a way to Bath, this is just off M4 in Swindon with ample free parking. The Lydiard House is lovingly restored and I was surprised that there were no other visitors inside the house but for that we got a personalised tour. There is a modest entry fee but I'm guessing... An excellent park to escape to with the family with lots of parking and facilities. Lots of area to play and trees to climb along with nice long walks, all within easy access of West Swindon.

Lovely House set in very impressive grounds. Take a picnic along and some outdoor toys and the whole family will be happy. A BBQ can be hired for half or whole day. Book well in advance. Unfortunately can't take your own along. Great play park for kids = a great day out for the family

We stopped here on the way to Gloucestershire. Rooms have been well set up and we particulaly liked the Audio guides in most rooms. The walled garden is worth a visit. The nearby Parish Church is amazing and a "must see" - door key available only from Lydiard House. Catering facilities "only average".

Lovely property and grounds, you only get to see ground floor rooms but that's sufficient. The walled gardens and grounds are lovely too. Very reasonable price only £12 for gamily of 4 Good play areas for the children. Entry to park only free - lovely place for a picnic. Would definitely recommend 😀

I came down to this park to have a stroll and see what we could find. The grounds is very large, plenty of space for walking your dog & having picnic or whatever. The lake is very nice and there was photo oportunites more towards the bottom of the park. Very nice grounds and brilliant with free entry & parking.
