The house is a little gem. There is also a walled garden. « less

It's free to park and roam the grounds. It's £2 to enter the walled garden which I imagine is spectacular in June. We had a lovely walk around the lake and had lunch at the coach hose in the stables . I feel they could do more re the lunches such as quiche and salad rather than snacks.

Continues to improve service was always a bit slow but with now more prepared food already available you don't have to wait. Especially for things like a cream tea get it out of the chiller take to the counter get your tea and away you go.

We live near enough to go regularly and is a great place to take a picnic with space to run around for the kids and walk round the lakes. It can get busy which can make the children's playground, parking and the cafe a bit of a headache, but with a relaxed frame of mind us fine and is an... More

What a fabulous facility for the area. We loved everything about it - the church, the house, the walled garden, the parkland, the walks. It's a must do if you visit the area.

Lydiard Mansion is close to me and has free admission to the grounds and children's play area making it a summer must for me and my two boys. the play area is split with my youngest catered for with smaller equipment and more challenging stuff available for my eldest. The parkland are a wonderful walk with the walled garden home... More

Great children's play area. Plenty of space. Lovely lakeside walk. BBQ and picnic area. Fab location but close to town. Defiantly one to do again and best if all it's free!

Fantastic walks and cycle paths, mostly flat. Wonderful grounds and wildlife. Great for dog walking (off the lead) too!

Spent lovely few hours here with our girls and our friends. Play area for younger children had variety and was well maintained. Alas 2 things let it down in that older children were coming in and playing when they had a perfectly adequate, more age appropriate play area just yards away. Also, there were no toddler swings, just a cradle... More

A lovely park with great open spaces to picnic and play and a cracking play area full of things to climb etc. All for free. My only niggle would be it would be great had there been some toddler swings there.

Lovely family day out. We went with 7 adults and 6 children. It was amazing, lots to do here and explore, my only tiny gripe, facilites are lacking but i suppose that could come. Play area, is heaving and stressful to spend time here but otherwise plenty to do in other places
