I have been to Calke Abbey a lot of times. Too many to count. They hold some great events throughout the year. Craft stall, wedding stalls, pumpkin sessions, 10k runs, Christmas craft, Santa's Grotto, kite flying, food tasting and walks around the grounds. My favourite this year has been the Dawn chorus walk 4:30am up and out in beautiful countryside.... More

Our works Christmas doo centred in and around calke abbey . Our nine mile circular walk took in some fabulous scenery ending up for lunch in the stables at the abbey . What a beautiful place to eat . The food was amazing and we all left feeling very festive !

We enjoyed nearly all the Christmas activities including the secret grotto, lantern lit walk to the church, free craft activities, visit to the craft show and the wishing... More

Nice park to have a walk around. But the house is nothing special, and it really isn't worth the money.

There are many different walks around the grounds. The house is unique and very interesting. There are also gardens and a small private church. There is a bird hide, a fine collection... More
