Nice place

A great little gem in the heart of the city. Good for entertainment. A very simple but yet elegant place, decor has a positive vibe too. Worth a visit.

Staying in Derby overnight we found this gem which offered a diverse range of cinema/films, friendly and welcoming staff and the tickets were well priced too.

I think this cinema has been one of the best things that's happened to Derby! Comfy seats, great cafe area! The staff are always really nice. Love that they play some older classics!

The best cinema in town. Very helpful and friendly staff, three great cinema screens, one of which has 3 sofas and the others have double seats! Good restaurant too

This establishment is housed in an unattractive 1970s concrete building. There is a two screen cinema upstairs, they show new releases but also classic and art house films. Downstairs there is a large cafe bar area. We visited a free exhibition on the ground floor which was a series of animated films. It was interesting and technically accomplished. Thought provoking... Only 2-3 screens (and only one of them being a reasonably big size) but roomy and comfortable seating, including some double/'couch' seats. A small bar upstairs near the screens (albeit not always open, but you can bring drinks/snacks up from the café/restaurant downstairs if necessary). The food downstairs is usually good quality and reasonably priced. The QUAD also regularly hosts... More

Comfortable cinema(s), films vary from classics to relatively new releases. Prices are generally less that the mainstream cinemas, but regrettably this is more than offset by the punitive nearby car parking costs.(this is common in Derby, which is why I normally visit on rare occassions. The building is a bit agricultural, with block walls in many places, but when seated... More

Basically a couple of small cinemas and a poorly run cafe/bar in a bizarre building (eyesore) with a wonky column. What is the point of this place; it does nothing as well as private companies do and seems to have no strategic objective. If you want to see a movie go to a proper cinema and if you want a... More

We popped in twice lately, a Sunday as a post Church coffee and yesterday for a spot of time killing. Discovered they have installed Draught Aspalls - just had to sample........ such a friendly spot and maybe soon they will show a film we want to see.
