This is a great place, imposing and full of history. This is the place where some scenes of Harry Potter were filmed (I did not know that, but if you watched the movie, you will recognize the setting). Amazing stained glass, peacefulness. Mind that there is a fee for taking photos! Worth visiting!

Tucked away at the back of the cathedral is the cafe; seek it out.Since admission is free, you also have the bonus of looking around which will not disappoint. To the cafe then, placed in old buildings and itself a little maze of rooms. Service, extremely pleasant, cultured, helpful young folk. Food, honest good quality and very well priced, since... More

I had not been here for many years. It's a fantastic Cathedral - the Cloisters are wonderful. Unlike many English Cathedrals and major churches, they do not dragoon you into paying money; they gently suggest a donation and I hope and suspect they may do better from this approach .

this cathedral rivals St Pauls in London and is not to be missed if you are in the area. Quite the site

Completely surprised and delighted by the contemporary art/installations in and outside the cathedral. It was a brilliant use of space and added a freshness to our visit that was quite unexpected. All the traditional cathedral 'things' are present, too, but with a modern twist - the highlight of our visit to Gloucester on the way home from Wales.

Deceptive much more impressive on the inside than I had imagined. The stain glass is unbelievable. Majestic and *Free* which not all cathedrals are. Take a walk to the docks and the little fishermans chapel after your visit or the tailor of Gloucester house :)

Beautiful building, Ornate cloisters, tombs, angels in the ceilings - what else can you ask for ? Worth waiting for choirs in full song.

It is an important cathedral to visit; all inside and outside area are typical. Gloucester Cathedral stands for the glory of God in Jesus Christ and for the good of all people. For nearly a thousand years, people have come here to pray and to feel refreshed and up-lifted.
