I visited the Turkish Baths in Harrogate and this is a wonderful experience that I will definitely repeat if I ever can. I visited on a Tuesday, which is ladies night. It was a lovely, calming, relaxing and stress-busting experience from start to finish.

Myself and my friends visited the baths on Friday 27th June during a weekend visit to Harrogate. Warm, friendly and helpful staff. Special mention must go to 'Bob' our guide. Very informative and entertaining and his jokes made us laugh! Whole spa experience was lovely. Was like stepping back into the 1800's! We all came out feeling cleansed and detoxes,... More

My husband and I visited the Turkish Baths on Friday 6th June for the evening session. There were only a couple of other people in when we arrived, and after a quick tour of the facilities we were left to enjoy the saunas and steam room. We used the plunge pool after each session in the sauna, which was freezing... More

This was my first visit to the Turkish Baths in Harrogate and I'm already planning my next. The Victorian building is easy to spot and is on a pretty main road. The reception area is modern and staff were very welcoming as is typical of the area. Walking from reception into the spa was like stepping back in time. Harrogate's... More

We have visited similar places during our travels and always felt relaxed and chilled. However there seemed no restriction on talking and noise which spoilt the experience for us. Its a beautiful old building, lovingly restored but please monitor the noise. Yes we could have complained but that it not what you go to a Turkish Baths for and so... More

The Turkish Baths were featured in Michael Portillo's Great British Railway Journeys documentary series in which he visited Harrogate's historic landmarks including the Royal Pump Room and the Turkish baths. Thereafter, we decided that when we passed through Harrogate, we would visit the famed baths ourselves...a health respite and design icon in its heyday; while today being the most complete... More

This is a must if you have the time. A really unique experience but check out the time as some are ladies only sessions. Get you body really warm and then dare to take the plunge in the ice-cold bath. Feel a million dollars when you come out.

Having been a visitor to North Yorkshire and Harrogate particularly for over 15 years Why oh why have I never visited the Turkish baths here ? I recently visited and what an amazing experience. I was treated to a massage and (ladies only) session within this wonderful building. From the moment we stepped into the building until the moment we... More

Traveled to Harrogate on a Hen Party and booked the Turkish Spa Baths as an afternoon activity for 14 of us aged between 26-50, we had the 12-2pm session. The welcome to the Spa was rushed and a bit disorganized, the Spa reception felt sticky and warm, no offer of refreshment on arrival - i had called ahead to the... More
