We were here recently for the Bryan Ferry concert. we've been to quite a few venues and didn't know what to expect, because this one is a bit 'off the beaten track' and in general we prefer the outdoor festivals to indoor halls, from a sound point of view. Well, I have to say that in general it was very... More

we attended the centre for the BBC Good Food Show, the event was packed plenty of food, and other stalls in the centre relating to food.

I was there for a conference and it is ideally placed, close to my hotel and the centre of town. Catered well for our needs with good disabled access.

Our five-day conference is at a different venue each year. The HIC had comfortable seating and good sound but it was impossibly hot and dry. I guzzled lots of Harrogate water! Security wasn't as tight as other venues, which gave it a friendlier feel. The long walk up a huge spiral slope seemed a bit unnecessary. There was an out-of-the-way... More

Attended this with three other adults on Sunday April 12.Each had paid £18 for tickets (they were £21 on the door). We were expecting to find lots of make-shift kitchens and cooks cooking away and samples to try. The BBC web site even said to bring some large bags for all the samples to "take away". No such thing. The... More

Whilst I suppose that the main auditorium does its business I simply do not like the design. I have read that it was built in 1982 but owes more to 70s architecture than anything else. There is just 1 escalator to the upper floors and a ridiculous winding, circuitous walkway that does nothing except make you dizzy. As you would... More

A smaller version of the show than at the NEC, but very good and not as crowded. It was good that you can leave the show and have a walk around the town and then return later. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant.

Just spent 5 days at a conference. Very comfortable seats with a good layout. Liked the walkway and lots of very friendly and helpful staff. Only problem was that it got quite hot in the hall which made it uncomfortable at times.
