Our five-day conference is at a different venue each year. The HIC had comfortable seating and good sound but it was impossibly hot and dry. I guzzled lots of Harrogate water! Security wasn't as tight as other venues, which gave it a friendlier feel. The long walk up a huge spiral slope seemed a bit unnecessary. There was an out-of-the-way... More

Attended this with three other adults on Sunday April 12.Each had paid £18 for tickets (they were £21 on the door). We were expecting to find lots of make-shift kitchens and cooks cooking away and samples to try. The BBC web site even said to bring some large bags for all the samples to "take away". No such thing. The... More

Whilst I suppose that the main auditorium does its business I simply do not like the design. I have read that it was built in 1982 but owes more to 70s architecture than anything else. There is just 1 escalator to the upper floors and a ridiculous winding, circuitous walkway that does nothing except make you dizzy. As you would... More

A smaller version of the show than at the NEC, but very good and not as crowded. It was good that you can leave the show and have a walk around the town and then return later. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant.

Just spent 5 days at a conference. Very comfortable seats with a good layout. Liked the walkway and lots of very friendly and helpful staff. Only problem was that it got quite hot in the hall which made it uncomfortable at times.

Theatre was great and wish now I'd booked to see more of the Chefs in action. Hairy Bikers were very funny and the real highlight for me! Parked in Jubilee Car Park but more by luck than good management really. £7.50 for 6 hours which is OK I guess. Show was good but I've also attended NEC in Birmingham which... More

Having just spent five days sitting in the conference centre my feet are only now returning to normal. The place is too hot and the leg room limited. The staff are pleasant and efficient and entry and exit is smooth just turn the heating down and it would rate another star.

Catering fine, staff were excellent but it is too hot. If there is any air conditioning it needs a revamp. Very uncomfortable at times.

I have been here many times, mostly in Jan, to attend shows . Easy to find, but parking can be tricky. A light and well laid out place to hold a show.

I visited here for an event and it is situated in a nice area of Harrogate. Close to pubs, hotels and restaurants. Easy toget around the venue but definitely make sure you know which entrance to go in or you'll have to walk the entire block around the building. The only minor setback is that there is congestion in Harrogate... More
