we visited Friday 23rd January and heard the best band we have seen in a long time "TC's Funky Nuts" all excellent musicians who showed musical respect towards each other. This little pub was buzzing lovely atmosphere friendly efficient staff and very nice friendly fellow costumers who made a couple of middle aged strangers very welcome. We will defiantly visit... We called in at the Blues Cafe Bar one Saturday night and watched Jed Thomas. Although a little slow in setting up it was a great night. The beer is good, the atmosphere electric and the music brilliant. My only reservation would be that the same band plays most Saturday nights and it could become a bit predictable.

If you're in town, you must call in to Harrogate's premier music venue. Yes, it's cozy in there and with a good band on, it's like sardines, however, it's well worth the visit! Great sound system, very friendly staff and a great choice of beers. Check out their website to see what's on. (www.bluesbar.co.uk) With bands on every night, they... More

Fabulous bar, absolute amazing friendly atmosphere. Always packed which is a great sign and reasonably priced drinks. Great live band. Why only 4 stars? I don't particularly like blues music - if they played rock music I would have given this bar 6 stars!

We were booked in for a Wednesday and Thursday night in Harrogate, earlier this month and I was keen to find some live music on at least one night. I soon found The Blues Cafe Bar on an internet search, just the night before, to find that Paul Middleton and his band were playing. After sampling some YouTube footage I decided... More

Been to the Blues Bar on a few different nights and enjoyed it everytime, they have live music 7 nights a week with a couple of resident bands playing Wednesdays and Saturdays. It's not sophisticated and it's loud, down and dirty, with not enough seats, but who cares! It's great, it's raw, it's loud and everyone loves it. Particular favourite... More

Going for a drink I came across the Blues Cafe Bar. They had a band to start at 9pm so I had a couple of drinks. The prices were reasonable and when the band came on they were good. I stayed the rest of the night and had a really good night. The atmosphere was relaxed with a bohemian mix... More
