We were booked in for a Wednesday and Thursday night in Harrogate, earlier this month and I was keen to find some live music on at least one night. I soon found The Blues Cafe Bar on an internet search, just the night before, to find that Paul Middleton and his band were playing. After sampling some YouTube footage I decided... More

Been to the Blues Bar on a few different nights and enjoyed it everytime, they have live music 7 nights a week with a couple of resident bands playing Wednesdays and Saturdays. It's not sophisticated and it's loud, down and dirty, with not enough seats, but who cares! It's great, it's raw, it's loud and everyone loves it. Particular favourite... More

Going for a drink I came across the Blues Cafe Bar. They had a band to start at 9pm so I had a couple of drinks. The prices were reasonable and when the band came on they were good. I stayed the rest of the night and had a really good night. The atmosphere was relaxed with a bohemian mix... More

Went in the Blues Cafe bar at lunchtime. There were a few locals in there, who made us feel very welcome. The bar tender was very friendly and offered a sample of guest beer to my dad, which he loved - it was called ginerbread mild. It had a lovely atmosphere and it has great views of the park opposite,... More

This place has it all. Great music, great beer and great company! We moved to Harrogate last year, and this is where we spend most of our nights out. We have seen some amazing bands, like The Sharon Colgan Band, paul Middleton Band, Crosscut saw and The Dan Burnett Band to name a few. Live music every night and up... More

Amazing Harrogate got it all ! Heaps of Excellent musicians in a very homy atmosphere. Unforgetable live gigs a go go. Enthusiastic Locals dance on tables and chairs. No one can stop them. They throw watches and pound notes into a tin basket for the band and love it. Nice and friendly people all around. Always had a great time... More

As a single woman the thought of going to a club in the evening can be quite an intimidating thought but not in this case. I loved it! The regulars, staff and owner made me feel more than at home and I enjoyed the music, atmosphere and the people. This place is the main reason why I want to return... More
