nice little interpretive centre with knick knacks kept from JFK`s big visit in the 1960s such as the very teacup he drank from - but essentially you are paying an overpriced €7.50 per adult (so a steep €15 for 2 of us, glad we didn`t bring the kids) to look around someone`s farmyard. It was a nice touch to be... More

After the reviews we weren't sure what to expect. We enjoyed the visit and reading all the information and the guided tour. Interesting to see how from small beginnings the Kennedy family moved up the social scale of life. Lovely scones in the cafe!!

At €7.50 I expected more. The new visitor centre is quite small. The displays can be viewed in 10-20 minutes. The buildings themselves are somewhat interesting. It is interesting to see the homestead where the Kennedy family originated from. However, I expected more. The site is also out of the way. The road to get to the Homestead is quite... More

Visited this recently whilst on holiday, I found it very interesting and moving and sad in places. There were some lovely interesting pieces there although could of done with a little more of a talking tour as I browsed but well worth the visit!

There is plenty to read and lots of atmosphere to soak up in this recently opened visitor centre. We spent a few hours here and anyone with an interest in the kennedys or the period of history around the famine will love this place.

Lovely new centre just outside New Ross It gives an accurate sense of what it felt like to be an Irish emmigrant in the 19th centruy in America. The staff were very pleasent and you can take a photo outside the house where John F Kennedy stood.

We had seen the homestead about 4 years ago before the renovations and were interested in seeing the new centre. The centre is a lot smaller than I expected so wouldnt really take you very long to get around it.But it was still very interesting and you could feel the sense of history as you stand in the courtyard and imagine... Lovely new centre but way too expensive for what you get. Short talk from a relative of JFK's who was ver.y nice but then you are left to your self to look around which is fine but not after paying 7.50 each. they should invest in some professional guides as a good guide is what makes an attraction great

Really great to be actually at the Kennedy homestead. Staff are very well informed, and Patrick, a direct descendant, was on hand to share stories and information. Delighted I saw it. A must for any Kennedy fans.
