Arrived early not knowing what to expect, but on meeting the staff member at the entrance who explained in full detail what we might expect we were fully entralled when we experienced the wonderful facilities . A good tea room, very clean toilet facilities, beautiful walks and fresh air in abundance. Well done to all concerned in providing this beautiful facility.

We found out about this arboretum while visiting the Dunbrody famine ship in New Ross and we thought "might as well have a look". So happy we did this. The walks seem endless, the scenery and trees are breath taking and its also very quite and not too busy. Very nice spots with benches to sit down and rest and... More

On Sunday 15 June 2014 my partner and myself visited here with her two daughters and five grandchildren. On arrival we had a picnic in the large picnic area which is within view of a large play area for children. After our picnic some of us walked around the park stopping at the lake to se the ducks where a... More

This was great for our kids as it was a sunny day and there was a good play park and lots of space to run around. There are plenty of picnic tables but also a café if you prefer. If you want a walk there are lots of options in the huge collection of beautiful trees, from a 10 minute... More

My husband and I used to take regular trips here when the kids were young and always enjoyed it. We got lots of inspiration for our garden from seeing beautiful trees and shrubs at their mature best. We visited again today Sunday without the kids so we wanted to do the full walk. It's fabulous and lots of flowers are... More

We used to go here every Sunday when I was a kid & to be honest after a while it got boring. But now that I have kids of my own its a nice place to visit for a few hours when we are back home, especially on a good day. The kids can run about & burn off their energy.Last... More

We visited on a day when entrance fees were greatly reduced: I don't think we would have paid the full fee. Went for a walk which was meant to be 3 km but because of poor signage, it turned out to be much further - more like 5km. This was a problem because one of our party was diabetic and... More

We visited during the summer and the Arboretum is very nice with a large playground for children, picnic area and several miles of pathway for walking and cycles as well as shops, its a pity that wexford council charge an entrance fee as places like this should be made available for everyone, the Arboretum in Wicklow is free and is... Weather wasn't great but we still had a lovely afternoon. Lovely walks, beautiful scenery and very interesting. Lovely play area for the kids as well. We had just had lunch, so can't comment on the canteen/shop. Would be back.

This is a review of only the Slievecoiltia Commons Scenic overlook. It was too late in the day for us to visit the actual Arboretum, but we drove to the Scenic overlook (which you don't have to pay for, but is considered part of the Arboretum) – by all means go out of your way to go to this overlook...
