The apartment we were staying in was overlooking the beach. When the tide was out there was a lovely clean sandy stretch to walk along.Dont go here if you are afraid of dogs as there are generally lots of dogs on the beach.

You can drive on to the beach, its spotless and has plenty of room so you wont get crowded. The children where safe and plenty of ice cream from the local seller. The Strand Tavern is also facing the beach which serves award winning food at the price without ripping you off.

The beach has lovely soft sand and is very clean with very little seaweed. There is a small shop which sells buckets and spades as well as drinks and ice creams. The water was a very long way away when we were there which was ok but meant that we didn't spend a lot of time together as one of... More

This was a lovely wide beach, clean and easily accessible. We were there on one of those rare days in July that were actually pleasant . The sand is clean, when the tide is out there are lots of pools for small children to explore. There is a small surf themed café with a large paddling pool area where children... More

Fab beach no stones and no seaweed, only thing I found unusual about it is the walk you have to do to get to the water one day and the next it's right up at front. Wouldn't put me off I still went swimming. Will def be back. Duncannon itself quaint little village.

We are regulars on this beautiful beach whether its on a nice summer's day or on a windy day in the middle of winter. It's patrolled by life guards and beach wardens during the summer season and water tested to ensure safe bathing conditions. We wouldnt want to go anywhere else, the kids love it too. Playground, shop, takeaways and... More

Lovely clean sandy beach, safe for children with a lifegaurd on duty during the summer months. Great view of the whole estuary across to Woodstown beach and right out to the Hook Lighthouse. Great for walking the dog or an evening stroll!

I visit this beach regularly and I love it. Great for a long walk. Also it's very safe to swim in when the tide is in fully. Water quality has improved the last 2 years which is brilliant news. One of the few beaches where you can drive on. There's a Sandsculpting festival there every August which is well worth... More
