I have been visiting the area for over 20 years and believe that duncannon has great potential, but lazy tourism operates here. The long beach is potentially great but is hardly ever cleaned and the same can be said of the other beaches in the area. The potential for kite surfing etc is great but on any suitable day you... Fantastic playground at beach. Great wee town with car access to beach to the east of beach. quiet, spotless and views to never forget. The perfect beach by far.

Excellent, gently shelving beach with easy access to let you bring your car onto the beach. On the day we visited, the sun was shining and the sands were very clean. Lovely way to spend a few hours.

We revisited this lovely village recently and had a great break. The beach is fab - huge and great for a lovely evening stroll, with Hook Lighthouse flashing its light regularly in the distance. As some other reviews have mentioned, cars are allowed onto the beach here, but we didn't find this a problem during our visit; in fact it... More

If you are down this part of the country, its worth going to Duncannon, nice beach & village.Pop into "Juffs" some great chips & take away food.Or "off the hook" for a tasty pizza.

A beautiful small stretch of coast nestled on the perimeter of the small village Duncannon. Scenery wise Duncannon is lovely but after that it does not have much to offer. We visited during July, there was absolutely no entertainment at night in the villages two pubs, very very quite town. The village shops are over priced and very dated. For... More

Beautiful beach but we couldn't relax with our children because there were cars going up and down the beach every few minutes. Our little boy loves playing in the waves then running up the sand to tell us all about it! So this is definitely a drawback of this lovely spot. Lovely village atmosphere, everything you need is within walking... More

A lovely beach ruined by cars. By midday there was no space for kids to play or run around safely. I find in a disgrace that cars are allowed to park here for reasons of safety and aesthetics.
