Had a great day out. We visited with another family with 2 kids. The paths were smooth enough for the buggy and the scenery around the paths is varied and interesting, especially the Narnia Trail. Parking - excellent, shop and cafe - adequate and exactly as you'd expect in a historic house/garden. Toilets and other facilities all very good and very clean.
We walked right round the 'Narnia trail' - the garden is lovely, it is very well kept, very tidy and well pathed in most areas. The link to Narnia is a bit tenuous...
