It is beautiful to go to look at unique Waterford crystal. This is the second trip I have made to the factory and they have modernized the tour. But, I thought the previous experience was better with more humor and fun added to it. But, you still get to see how valuable their pieces are as they are being made... More

My husband and I really enjoyed the tour through the Waterford Crystal factory.....I suggest you book in advance. Aisling was our guide and she was easy to understand and very knowledgeable. The factory was so great to see ! We saw glass blowers, men grinding each item to a smooth finish, and very talented men etching the designs into the... More

The entrance to this establishment is so impressive with the huge examples of what these artisans can do. Go through the complete production of this amazing product. It is a pity that virtually nothing, apart from pieces for the tourist trade and specialty items for presentations at Wimbledon and other sporting events around the world are virtually the only things... My wife and I visited Waterford Crystal and did the tour. It was very interesting and well done. Upon completion of the tour, we ended up in their showroom and viewed several beautiful pieces of crystal. We purchased some and requested it be delivered to the States. We were promised 6-8 weeks. It's now 14 weeks and the latest email... More

The tour was really neat. We got really close to the actual artists as they were working and seeing that makes their work even more impressive. The store is crazy beautiful!

Definitely worth taking the tour. Amazing facts regarding the history of the factory and the amount of work and training needed to produce these beautiful items. You see the production at every stage. Watching the workers cutting the patterns into vases and bowls and engravers etching wonderful patterns into these lovely pieces. The staff were happy to answer questions and... More

So that's how it's done! My husband and I enjoyed a guided tour of the Waterford Crystal factory where we witnessed the crystal being molded, blown, smoothed, cut, etched and finished. The tour ended in the Waterford store, where all types and patterns in all price ranges were displayed and, or course, offered for purchase. A fun half day.

Such an interesting tour. It is rare to see people actually working on real pieces during tours, you usually get demos, but these are real, highly-skilled employees doing what they do best and it is a thing of beauty to watch. Put it on your list of places to visit because some of what you will see there is astonishing.....and... More

We did this tour as part of a Railtours Ireland package. The factory tour was excellent and they take smaller groups which means noone really misses out on the talks as you go along. You get to see the products being made right in front of you, along all the stages of production and it's great. Don't forget to get... More

I found this tour to be very interesting. We didn't get caught in the urge to buy. The factory tour experience for us was one of the better ones we did on vacation. Guinness was not worth it for instance - for us, way too many people. This tour has a limited size making it possible to get a good... More
