The tour was very informative. Our guide, Gene, was a former worker who gave us a lot of history and background information. It was great to see the entire process of making a crystal vase...starting from the firing, smoothing, etching to polishing. For crystal lovers - especially Waterford - this is a must see. The factory had been closed but due to some independent investors it was reopened a few years ago.
