I always come here when walking the dog and I absouletely love the scenery of the mountains along with the bit of the lake. The problems I have with the walking trail that its not smooth and too rocky. Also you hardly see the lake and couldn't walk around it as its all blocked off by dead trees. I wish... More

I stood by the edge of the Lough and recited the poem that I was taught in school many years ago. I felt at peace there.

Old oak woodland as well as commercial forestry, within easy reach of Sligo. Plenty of trails for long or short walks, or for mountain biking. Badly signposted, but it doesn't matter; you can't really get too lost!
