The tour (we opted for the complete bus & boat tour) is run by a delightful old fellow named George, who kindly agreed to pick us up at our hostel somewhat outside town in the morning. Courteous and talkative, he makes the tour a pleasure and an experience, as he recites Yeats and asks participants to take part (all very... More

**Our trip included the bus tour.** We had the privilege of an early start in Sligo Town and quiet tour with our lovely tourguide, George, who was perfectly charming, thoroughly knowledgeable and refreshingly flexible. We got of to a quick start with a short trip to Drumcliffe Cemetery to see the burial place of W. B. Yeats, followed by a... More

Checked the website before setting out on the long drive for this much anticipated trip to the isle. Sailing was timetabled for 16.15 on the website. Easter to June We arrived around 15.50 to find a notice with entirely different times i.e 15.30 and the boat already gone. So we decided to wait for the advertised 17.00 sailing. When the... More

George gave my wife and me a lovely tour of Yeats sights along with recitations of the poet's work. He even picked us up and returned us to our B & B in Sligo. We couldn't have been more pleased.

I have taken my travelers from Israel (I am a tour guide) around 20 times to this charming tour boat. The sail is calm, the scenery is lovely and above all George the boatman who is reciting Yeats' poems is great. You get to fill the background of Yeats' poetry while traveling wher he came from.

What an amazing tour! I had initially heard about this trip from friends who had recently visited the west of Ireland so I was really looking forward to seeing what all the fuss was about. Having travelled a long way from Perth, Western Australia thankfully the boat trip didn't disappoint. We were also very lucky to that the sun was... More

We enjoyed the boat ride very much. The inside was set up so cute! They served tea and scones and jam, on nice dishes. The view from inside was great and even better from outside, though it was a bit cold and very windy!!!! I have to admit, though, that neither my daughter nor I understood what was going on... More

First let me say I really enjoyed my hour aboard the boat. The owner/captain was very friendly and welcoming, though he questioned if there was enough to do the tour. There was , but we deliberatley picked the 12.30 trip as some of the others said dependant on numbers, so I figured this one went even if numbers were below... More

I have to agree with the reviewer who said it was difficult to figure out where you were supposed to be looking during the tour. I hadn't realized that the guide was actually a recording, but I do feel I missed out on seeing the 'Lake Isle of Innisfree'. I was also very disappointed that instead of reading Yeats' classic...
