The drive to Lough Gill is a must see. Beautiful views, unspoilt countryside and even more lovely people who live here. They are the most hospitable and friendliest people you will ever meet. I had always planned to retire to Co Donegal but have now changed my mind. This is the place for me .... and I'll die happy! more

I first came to Sligo in 2001. The wild beauty of the landscape simply takes your breath away. Lough Gill in particular is beautiful and I fell in love so much with it I moved from Birmingham, England just 8 months later to live in Dromahair, a village just a few miles from the Lough. There is so much to say about this place, I could write forever. It is a magical place that I would advise everyone to see at least once in there life. The scenery is spectacular and the people amazing. It's one corner of the world not to be unspoilt by too much tourism. A must for everyone. Have fallen in... more
