Trim Castle is great! We recommend the Keep Tour -- for an extra Euro you get to go with a guide into the biggest building on the grounds. It's about a 45-minute tour, so give yourself some time for this pitstop. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and we learned a ton. Be sure to get a scone (with jam and... More

We stopped here on our way to the west coast. It's a magical place, we learned lot of things about the life in the castle and in the area.

It's amazing to see this castle and how well it is preserved right on the edge of Trim. It is a magical place.

We rented a car when we landed in Dublin and drove through the country side and stopped here. It was cold and windy but it was still a great experience. We learned a lot about the history of the area. It is really cool to be standing in a castle hearing about and imagining what it was like hundreds of... More

Quite by chance we were driving through Trim n just had to check out this castle. The tour of the keep was well worth waiting for, but you need a good head for heights.

Tours can be hit and miss and this one is a hit. For just another euro (or if you have the Heritage Pass, nothing extra at all) you get to have a tour in the massive keep. While the grounds are nice and generally interesting, the keep is where it is really worth it. We had a great tour guide-... More

This was my second visit to this tremendous castle. It does not disappoint. The castle and grounds are very large and provide terrific walks and views. The tour of the castle is informative and entertaining; you can learn a lot about castle construction and defensive techniques. The views from the top of the keep are just great. I only wish... More

Loved this visit. Learning so much about the structure, the people, the living and such was well presented by the staff! It was so beautiful on the Battlements on a bright and sunny day. Worth the visit and take your time. Do not rush.

Very educational tour, guide knew his subject, was raining the day we went but was still very good. Would recommend this attraction.

This was our last castle to visit on our Ireland trip and a suitable end note for a great trip. The castle is huge...it really defies imagination! The tour was very informative and the views from the top are incredible. The photographic opportunities are endless. Do see this one and do stay at the Trim Castle Hotel with a room... More
