I chose the smaller boat run by O'Malley Ferries to get to Clare Island, my time was limited and they advertised the fastest trip. It was an innocent little launch with room for about 10 in the open stern. We backed off from the quay, the engine roared into life and soon we were aquaplaning over Clew Bay at 30... More

We were very lucky with this trip as we had very good weather all the time we were there (one day). We went walking and there were well marked routes of differing distances.

In the summer there are two ferries going to Clare Island. We took the all year round ferry which is also the mail boat. It was a beautiful trip and Clare Island is spectacular.

We spent the day on Clare Island in the off season so everything was closed, but it was one of the best days we had in Ireland. We walked about 8 miles around the island at the end of the day we attended a community Christmas Festival and were warmly welcomed as the only non residents on Clare that day... More

We were a couple of minutes late arriving by bike for the 8.30am ferry, but when the crew saw my husband waving at them, they came back and helped us on board. It was so nice of them, as we would have had to wait until 11am for the next one. This was our second trip on this ferry and... More

We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day with a flat calm sea for our crossing. Reasonable prices and for either a holiday or just a day trip this was a lovely trip.

Very friendly staff. Sailing times were limited though, when you were dropped off in the morning you had to wait until 4.45 or 6pm to return to mainland. Boat was a bit on the small side with limited seats. Overall I enjoyed the experience.

we had a ball on the crossing to the Island. the children loved the ferry. the lads on the boat were friendly and joking with them and showing them where to look for dolphins ect. the ferry back was a bit older and rougher but for the half hour we were on board it was still a great service

Again a most welcomed trip to Clare Island with the O'Gradys. We has an excellent lunch too. A great place to get away from it all
