The ferry/boat travel to Clare was lovely. Pleasant and enjoyable, the crossing was calm and scenic. The island is small and beautiful but requires a lot of walking.

It was fun watching the men load/unload cars and other huge items with a special crane. The ride itself was quick and pleasant.

A reliable daily ferry service going to and from Clare Island. Very helpful staff and professional boat with plenty of safety notices. The upper deck seats give a fantastic view of Clew bay while the inner seats provide shelter if it rains.

Take warm clothing with you incl hat to sit on the upper deck. We had a commentary on the way out which was very informative. Disappointing not to see any seals but there was much more to learn about the seafaring history of the area ranging from the pirate queen challenging the GB monarch to St Patrick, to meditation centres,... Keep your fingers crossed that the weather holds during the crossing - only 20 minutes - as you're stuck outside, but the changing scenery makes up for the rain! Great crew.

Ferry journey makes it a nice trip with great scenery. Island is so unspoilt. We walked to the lighthouse and saw no one the whole way! Spectacular views from the cliffs. The pub by the harbour does delicious soup with great views.

Good price, nice trip out, efficient service, good times and quick fun journey in and out. On the way back in we were lucky to see some dolphins which aparently isn't that rare great sight. Well worth the journey out to Clare island as well

We were very lucky with this trip as we had very good weather all the time we were there (one day). We went walking and there were well marked routes of differing distances.

In the summer there are two ferries going to Clare Island. We took the all year round ferry which is also the mail boat. It was a beautiful trip and Clare Island is spectacular.
