Do not miss Carrowteige if you are nearby. We did not actually do any loops as my husband is not into walking,so don't let the length of the loops stop you.There are a couple of parking areas where you can explore the cliffs from without an incredible amount of exertion.It is breathtaking! We did the purple arrows walk around portacloy and then accross the cliffs in a loop back to carrowteige. I think its called the brenwee head loop walk. Really enjoyed this coastal walk! Took us 3.5- 4hrs a lot of it is through marshy boggy terain but dont let that worry you! Good pair waterproof boots and good rain jacket... More

There are three routes on this walk, one been the Children of Lir Loop (Blue Arrows) distance 10k approx 2-2.5 hours, this is my favorite, listening to the sounds of the sea, spectacular scenery, from the magnificent cliffs, caves & of course the Children of Lir Sculpture.
