We were playing County Louth/Baltray first thing in the morning and preferred to stay nearby rather than driving to Louth that morning. Imagine our delight when we learned that the clubhouse has some "dormitory style" rooms available for rent on a nightly basis. While some people may not appreciate having to go across or down the hall to use the... More

Great course at any time of the year. Food is excellent, service is pleasant and prices are low. Breakfast for the two of us came to €10!!

The welcome and the course was the same as we encountered 20 years ago.Fantastic track and the Baltray steak was still the best.

If your golf is up to it, a visit to this golf course will bring out the best and worst in you. You need to be accurate with your drives and must learn to curse discreetly so you won't disturb others with a similar bent for expressing themselves. No matter what happens on the course you can relive it all... More

This course, as nice as it is, is very difficult to locate, or at the very least it was for me. It's proper name is County Louth Golf Club, but it is also known as Baltray, so named for the small village nearest to it. The course is well maintained, but the rough is tall and nasty. If your shot... More

with a greenfee of 120€ i expect a lot more quality. the course is only mediocre maintained. greens are very different in speed. the course itself is close to boring, almost flat as a pan. once more i learned, than in ireland and north-ireland the cheaper courses are often more fun to play than the expensive ones. clubhouse facilities are... It's a little out of the way when you plan a golf trip around Dublin, but so is Pat Ruddys European Golf Club. County Louth (or Baltray as the locals like to call it) is a do not miss round of golf. We had the good fortune to be able to stay in the Dormy House at the property and... More

This another golf course worthy of greatness as a beautiful links course. we had a young caddie that added value to our experience. I don't know why everyone calls it Baltray when it is the county Louth Golf club! We were lucky to get great weather so lots of fabulous pictures.
