This tour lasts about 50 minutes. We saw very little of historic value. The quaint small shops, narrow streets gives it a feel of a quieter era. It reminds me of the small town I grew up in as a child.

The bus takes you on two short loops. Between traffic and stops every few blocks, you could walk the loops faster. The windows were grimy, which made pictures impossible. The commentary lacked any depth. Save your money and walk around downtown yourself.

Limerick is not a very large city and we found this tour adequate to help us get our bearings. There are two routes that are about 45 minutes in total. The driver was not very animated and I think that the tour was pre-recorded. At first we waited for the first bus on a Sunday and while the bus was... More

My husband and I took the Red Viking Bus tour on both routes. We had just a day in Limerick and wanted to get a quick view of the city and its history. The tour was entirely worth it. If we had had more time, I would have taken a walking tour around, but with only a day and so... More

12 € for an uncomfortable seat, very short drive and speak through loudspeakers in dire need of replacement. The driver seemed sulky and I don't really blame him. I hear the paddy wagon tours are much better. We chose to just walk the city.

We took this tour to learn about Limerick and we were not disappointed. The driver was very knowledgeable giving a live commentary as she drove around the city. The tour last about 1 hour. Our disappointment was the condition of the seating upstairs. At least 2 of the seats had the back out and these were lying on the actual... More

I'm from Limerick and I learned so much on this tour. The bus driver/tour guide is genuinely interested in Limerick and his love for the city really comes across. Great value for money and my kids loved it !

As with any city, a bus tour is a great way of getting your bearings and happily the driver adds a lot of value and enjoyment to the experience, good value and time well spent.

Tour good for all weather, though if you are planning to go on the top of the bus I would recommend a jumper (and a hair band if you have long hair). The driver is very friendly and offers a very interesting and up to date guide of the city. There are fantastic views and photo opportunities on the tour... More
