“Tea at the castle”

The grounds are beautiful and eight ladies enjoyed Tea while the gentlemen golfed. The setting was delightful and the service was superb. A nice variety of sandwitches and desserts to enjoy while being served our tea. We enjoyed the chance to dress up and have formal service while traveling all over the country side. Very delightful experience. More

Tours to Desmond Castle are available through the Adare Heritage Center for 6 Euro per person. OPW is in the process of restoring the ruins. When we visited in July 2008, new entry door gates had just been installed and the tour guide told us that a new draw bridge would soon be installed. Definitely worth the visit! More
