We rented a Silverline 8-berth 'Legend' cabin cruiser for 4 nights from Banagher Co Offaly. We were absolutely thrilled with the boat! It was spacious and new, and was sleek and stunning from the outside and very well laid out and comfortable inside. We had cruised down the Shannon about 15 years ago (and loved it) but this was a... Took a ferry along the Shannon River on our way to the Cliffs of Moher. It is a beautiful river, wide and green areas around. It joins the Atlantic Ocean at The Shannon Estuary. I enjoyed my trip along the river.

We used the Discovertheshannon.com site to pick our boat and plan the whole holiday. I loved it but we were blessed with the weather. We went for nights and departed from Banagher. Firstly we went up towards Athlone stopping at Clonmacnoise for the tour. Then we decided to turn back and head for Killaloe. My favorite places along the way... More

We cruised the Eren waterway with Carrick Craft. We rented the smaller 27' boat but had plenty of room for the two of us. We had an adequate galley where I cooked two meals a day. We sat on the back deck in the am with our tea and scones and fed the swan families who came to visit. When... More

We recently spent 3 nights on the river Shannon on an Emerald Star 35ft Lake Star cruiser. It was adequate for our needs, the best part was the dual steering. We had amazing weather and that made a huge difference to our enjoyment of the trip. Emerald Star provided excellent customer service - even on the Friday evening at 6pm... More

We rented a 40 ft. boat from Silver Line Cruise Company, 3 persons & loved every minute of it. Barbara & the crew at Silver line were the best. Every question of ours was answered & ALL my emails were also answered in the best time. The boat was gorgeous, we bought our groceries in Banagher then headed off for... More

This bar restaurant is excellent - we stopped by chance and we were not going to stay as it seemed a bit unkempt and needed some TLC but as we had a long journey ahead of us we decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed the food and service were outstanding - all home cooked desserts also... More

We have just returned from a week's one way cruise from Carrick on Shannon to Banagher. Its difficult to write a fair review, because one of us loved it & one of us didn't!! We booked with Carrick Craft, who were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. The staff were unfailingly friendly, helpful & informative - from... More

It was our first time on the River Shannon; we came with a friend who has been doing this for about 35 years, say no more! I have to say I had my doubts as we have never done this kind of thing before, but we absolutely loved it, even though the weather wasn’t great. I can only imagine it... More
