A great way to see things in a short period of time-but if you don't have a lot of time-don't bother!

I took the 30 minute train car tour that picks up outside Kilkenny Castle as a way to see the sights in town and hear a little history. This was really enjoyable and the driver is really skilled at navigating this thing through the tiny streets. Very enjoyable singing Irish songs and seeing the sights.

The thing I like about these is that they are quick and informative and give you bearings on the city. And then if there is something that really grabs you, you can go back and check it out in more depth.

KILKENNY CITY TOURS - MOTORIZED TRAIN RIDE The small motorized train travels through the very narrow streets of Kilkenny and gives you an up close and person view of the small historic city. At times, it is hard to believe that the driver can negotiate the small side streets. The audio narrative gives the rider an excellent understanding of the... More

This is a good way to see the City of Kilkenny if you have limited mobility. However if you are fit enough I'd skip the kiddie train and explore the delights of the narrow cobbled streets and lane ways on foot. You only see glimpses of main attractions and there's no hop on hop off facility due to the difficulty... More

We enjoyed a 45 min train ride around the sights of Kilkenny. The prices were reasonable and the trip enjoyable. A very nice way to get an overview of the city.

We decided we would have a go and for a small gee we boarded and waited to leave listening to Irish accordion music, the train took off and we couldn't really see anything but it was a laugh all the way and great way to find some shop, it took 30 mins and was ok

Great way to spend a random 30 minutes, remember to wave to the locals and tip the driver! Great way to get your bearings of the city
