Went to Mass here on St. Patrick's Day. Loved the idea of book in Church foyer for names of Emigrants to be included in prayers on the day

In short, this is the only Church in this Diocese of Ossory that can match what Rome has to offer. Most of the rest of the Churches in the Diocese have the charm and appeal of a dance hall and should be knocked! If a Church has to be built, it should inspire , not serve.

Even being near this place, you automatically want to know more about it. I know I did. The day we went in, it was completely empty so we sat inside for awhile and enjoyed some nice quiet beautiful church time, hah. This place exudes beauty and history. Make sure you visit !

Not there long enough to see what we would have liked.Wannted to take train to other places but due to our disappointment in our hotel had to leave even though we had travelled from Omagh.

We attended Palm Sunday Mass here. The church was beautiful. There are some really nice stained glass windows.

I happened upon St.John's one Saturday evening and since I was close to mass time I decided to go in. Although I am Protestant I felt such a sense of peace here. It is such a beautiful building and I felt wrapped in a peace while I was there. The people around me were friendly and I found this a... More

I loved the architecture, the floors and ceilings, and the price (free) The grounds had nice trees, and we were welcome to look around at our leisure. Beautiful statues and paintings inside.

We attended Mass here on a cold Saturday evening. The church was well heated so we were very comfortable. The pews and kneelers provide adequate room for sitting, standing, and kneeling. This is a beautiful old church at the top of John Street opposite McDonagh Junction shopping centre.
