Industrial tours are one of my very favorite things when I travel. I have visited almost all of the states in the USA, Costa Rica, Mexico, many countries in Europe...and my happiest moments are when I'm learning how things are made or how they function. The Smithwick's Experience was at the top of the list for being entertaining and informative... More

The tour was the highlight of our weekend, the tour guide was fantastic. She knew absolutely everything regarding Smithwick's & the history of the brewery. The whole atmosphere & thought behind the fixtures & fittings provided a great experience. The interactive paintings of the Family is truly unique, you can imagine that you have met the family during the tour.... More

I can understand why it was named "Hottest Attraction" in Ireland for 2015 by Lonely Planet. It begins with the medieval origins of brewing on the site through to the arrival of John Smithwick. Everything about the tour was high class and professional by a very knowledgeable guide who is part of the family. It was so interesting that I... More

Our tour was lead by the extremely friendly Ide, she's a credit to Smithwick's! The tour lasts approx an hour, finished off with a pint (or half pint) of the red stuff... Was a bit disappointed that there was no option to have a pale ale or blonde at this point. The tour and it's graphics etc were very well... More

Smithwick is owned by Guiness but this is the original brewry. I think the cost was about 10 Euro but tour was informative with pint at the end. Reasonable souvenir shop.

Colom was fantastic, super knowledgeable about Smithwicks and had great family history within the brewery as well which was neat! Loved how we were not rushed out after and could purchase another pint to enjoy! Great tour!

The tour at Smithwicks is very informative the staff are very good and knowledgeable but if you have been to several other brewery tours there is room for a lot of improvement and it was over very quickly still well worth a visit even if you are not a drinker.
