It's a perfect place, it will be interesting to compare it with Guinness in Dublin. It's a small but very nice place, which is very well organized and worth visiting. The tour takes about 45 min, costs 12£ per. And you get a pint of smithwicks) it's a must place in Kilkenny!

Decided to pay this tour a visit even though I am living in Kilkenny and had heard really positive things about it. And I have to say it didn't disappoint . Although it brings you on a historic tour of the Family and the Beer it is done with a unique modern twist. The tour guide Simon was very informative... More

Visited Smithwicks last week, with a broken leg! The staff were really helpful and made me really welcome even with my leg up and in a wheelchair. The tour was fun, thought I was seeing things when the paintings started to talk to us, the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Finished off with a nice taste of Smithwicks beer.

Coming to Kilkenny we were not sure what to do but we had heard about Smithwicks and decided to check out the tour. What we didn't expect was for the tour to be such a great experience! Sheila, our tour guide, was well informed and extremely entertaining. She helped us take photos and answer all of our questions. I highly... More

Plan ahead, we almost missed out on our brief stop in Kilkenny. The guided tour is well presented and informative. The history of brewing on the site is fascinating. Well worth the visit.

Smithwick's Experience was not on our list of attractions to visit while in Kilkenny, but we stumbled upon it while walking through town. It was a informational tour with a guide as well as high-tech videos and talking portraits. After the tour, I probably would have given it a 4/5, but we visited the Guinness Experience later in our trip... More

I did the tour with my 3 grown up Children. Everything about it was very enjoyable. Again i am a person that found it a lot better than the Guinness tour. A lot more personal and friendly. The only down side is the booking on line. You can book online and save 10%, but you cant book a visiting time... More

The tour itself and tour guide was very good. I enjoyed this tour a lot more than the "other beer" tour in Dublin. The guide was very knowledgeable in the whole process of beer making and the history of the Smithwick's. The various use of modern technology made the tour very interesting. Even though they don't make the beer here... More
