Better personal tour than Guinness. More in depth of the brewing process and of course a free pint at the end of the tour. Wifi available in the pub while sipping your pint. Restrooms available. Gift shop at the end is rather small but nice.

Worth spending an hour on if you are visiting Kilkenny. We had a very nice tour guide and the stories he told was very intresting. The tasting of the beer at the end is a bonus, just a pity that you can't buy it in Sweden.

As a local for years I could smell the aroma of the brewery in full flow in Kilkenny city until it closed last year. Today I got a chance to enter the Smithwick's brewery and I was seriously impressed , it is very reasonably priced and children under 6 went free. The tour itself was very informative and was given... More

The factory tour was a brilliant and very informative. It gives a step by step how the smithwicks beer is made including the history of the people involved and the history of Kilkenny itself. The interactive paintings on the wall give a modern and humorus twist. The tour guide was very good.

Rita was a great tour guide who really gave personality and insight into the history of the town and the brewery. She was a lot of fun and made everyone feel welcome, even the French. I'd highly recommend this tour. It's a good mix new tech and good old yarns. A+++

We took the yesterday evening. It was a lovely venue that was very easy to find. It's set right in the heart of Kilkenny. The tour itself was very well organised our guide Simon was very friendly, welcoming and so infomative. The tour took us through every aspect of the processes with just the right amount of technology and personal... More

I don't like the fact that you have to pay one of the worlds biggest brewers to learn more about their product. I do like Smithwicks and the tour was quite good. Glad we stopped, the pints were great, and I spent to much in the gift shop. So now Im advertising for them!

It looks more like a long advertisement for their beer than a real guided tour. It's quite instructive though and you taste the beer at the end!

We did both this and the Guinness experience (Dublin), and this was smaller but was good in a more friendly way. The guides are great, explaining the process much better than the Guinness tour, and the interactive parts are very clever. Then there's the tasting with a pint on offer, and again this is excellent a really nice beer. If... More
