I am a local and a regular Smithwicks drinker. I found the tour very enjoyable. While the use of holograms and talking portraits are indeed cool, what made it for me was the staff. All were very friendly, which really added to the experience, especially in the bar at the end for the tasting. Patrick (I think), while very professional... More

I visited this place only a few days after it opened. Alot of money money had clearly went in to it and it was nice to see. Regretfully there was an an annoying voiceover coming through at one point in the tour while the guide was speaking and, I found it hard to hear. the gift shop was just over... More

We visited the newly opened smithwicks experience and enjoyed the tour. Visitors hear some local history in addition to the brewing processes. Friendly staff were well informed and able to engage off script. A nice pint at the end makes the entry ticket reasonable value for pint drinkers if a little pricey for non drinkers.

Very much enjoyed this tour, loved the way modern technology is used to explain a very old process. It's well set out and you keep moving through each area, they also have a bit of humour that adds to it. The tour guides were great and the sample at the end was well received.

Today I visited the newly re-opened Smithwicks experience and I had a great time. On arrival we were greeted by friendly woman that gave us our tickets. Our tour was just about to start, the tours are guided and operate every 15 minutes and tickets for an adult are 12 euro. The tour lasted for about 35 minutes. My favorite... More

Loved the pint at the end, but thought that the smithwicks pint glass souvenir was very expensive. My boyfriend was on antibiotics and couldnt have the pint and the soft drinks on offer were out of a large bottle. Surely you could offer some local spring waters. There were problems with the holographic monk and some background sounds made the... More

Our family of six (four teenagers) visited the newly re-opened brewery last week and wasn't expecting much, especially since we had toured Guinness the week before. We were surprised how informative and modern the tour was. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable and since there were only eight of us on the tour, asking questions was easy. We ended with... This centre had only recently re opened and we were told it was not even a week in operation . I found the tour to be very informative and enjoyable, and the guides very enthusiastic. The holograms were cool, very Harry Potter! Great rapport with Patrick the barman, who pulls a mean pint! Would recommend .

Since this beer became a favorite for the beer drinkers in the group, touring the newly re-opened brewery (newly re-opened for tours) was a must! The three who went on the tour (lasts about 1 hour and was 12 euros a person) enjoyed it and learned interesting facts about beer making. They were glad they did it and it gave... More
