Everything that was sold was unique and/or handcrafted by local artisans. There was a lot to look at and choose from...I purchased several Cladaugh rings and jewelry.

We really enjoyed our visit to the design centre. There are some beautiful gift shops and jewellers. It made a nice change of pace from ruins! :)

I popped in here on Nov 1st while in Kilkenny as my family had enjoyed it here on a previous visit and recommended it to me and they were right. I started with a coffee and explaining to my server Lauren that I'm not a big daytime eater, she tempted me into having the most devine cake and not only... More

My wife and I were shopping for a few small souvenir gift items. We decided on a pair of handcrafted earrings that cost 15 euro. When traveling outside the USA, we use a Capital One credit card that does not charge a foreign transaction fee. The cashier gave me the option of paying in USDs or Euros ... I chose... More

This is a wonderful place to visit but be prepared to spend money, the choices are brilliant. The very best of Irish crafts I wish the shop were larger so more craftspeople could be represented. The restaurant was so much superior to the one in the castle across the road.

The literature suggested that this was representative of traditional Irish crafts and I suppose it was in a fashion, but it was more up-scale boutiques than craft center. Very pricey. Located directly across the street from Kilkenny Castle. Shops are not handicapped accessible. Restrooms are available.

A great range of gifts from scanes of Irish wool to Tipparerry crystal. Also a cafe provided us filled rolls to go (for lunch) and Butlers chocolates to feed the addiction.

Very large and interesting store, made up of attached buildings around a central square. Lots of ups and downs to get around. Wide variety of local (and imported) merchandise. A little expensive.

Lovely collection of Irish designs! You can eat upstairs but if you are like us and continuing on the road grab a sandwich, drink and sweet treat from the cafe on the main level !! The guys are great that work there and very helpful to inquisitive tourists.
