Good, but we were there on their busiest day of the year, so very busy. Over-rated park, though the tree-top adventure was worth waiting for

We travelled to castlecomer from Waterford to meet Santa with my daughter and her two children and we had the most fantastic time. We have been to mount Juliet in recent years and found that the Mount Juliet experience has become very commercial, with multiple santas and the children and waiting in the golf club changing rooms....This trip was amazing... Went with my three children (ages 7, 5 and 3)to the santa experience on Saturday 19th December. Wasnt impressed. Have been to Mount Juliet in Kilkenny for the last three years and would 100 times recommend it over Castlecomer. There was no Christmas atmosphere - we were left sitting in a waiting area with a DVD playing on arrival -... More

Just back from our annual trip to see Santa with our 7 and 9 year old children. It was magical, staff fantastic, decorations brilliant, great present for the children, train ride was fantastic. Our children have been to several other Santa trips over the years but they were quick to say that this years was the best ever. Great for... More

There's so much to do as castlecomer demense. Walk through the woods for free. Lovely lakes to fish in. Lovely arts and craft centre with very interesting coal mining exhibition. Plenty for kids to do. Great high rope walk and great restaurant

Was at the Santa experience on Sunday with two children age 5 and 1. Magical. Everything from start to finish. Very friendly staff in all areas. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, mulled wine all available while you wait to be taken on the tour. Then off to see Mrs. Clause. She's is fantastic. She has great energy and expressed great delight... There was no elves which was disappointing for the children there was no Christmas music or happiness or even Christmas spirt about the place. Mrs.Claus was about the best thing about the trip she made everyone laugh and get everyone up and going the... More

We visited Santa at the Discovery Park last Saturday , November 28th with our 3 children aged 10,7 and 3. It was fantastic for all age groups. We got a slot at 6.30 in the evening which really added to the atmosphere as the area was all lit up as was the elf village which was truly magical. We had... More

We took our five year old boy to visit Santa at Castlecomer Discovery Park on Saturday – There is something very magical about heading off on a train into the woodlands! There are little surprises along the way especially a beautiful wooden elf village that we were able to explore in hope of spotting one of the inhabitants! Mrs Claus... More

Visited Santa today along with my 8 grandchildren, 5 children and 3 sons/daughters in law. It's the third time we have made this our Christmas outing. Unfortunately this year's experience was disappointing. Gone are the reindeer and the children's activities. We were rushed from one point to the next with little opportunity to savour the atmosphere. Food in the restaurant... More
