We visited last week and had a long walk around the lovely grounds and lakes. Plenty of picnic tables for the finer months. There seem to be activities for the summer months such as boating . Lovely playground. We stumbled across elf village which entranced my 4 year old daughter . We didn't see it mentioned on the map. There... More

Beautiful lakes to walk around or fish ( tackle supplied) then to coffee shop with home baking while children play in adventure play ground. All the family entertained.

walks around lake are great, and a choice routes depending on what you want. All sorts of surprises for children on the walks including reindeer! Cafe and shops for browsing + picnic areas + zip wire - something for everyone

Love this park. Beautiful in the frost and snow, even better in summer. The walk around the park is well laid out and us perfect for a stroll with children. The Christmas experience here is the best I've been to.

Great facility with well kept and well marked routes. Lovely café there for afterwards. We went for the longer walk which winds around forestry and lakes.

Situated on the outskirts of Castlecomer with plenty of parking space this really is an excellent place to spend the best part of a day. First we visited the exhibition centre and learnt a lot about the local history and in particular the mining details of the area through an excellent audio / visual and interactive programme. We were most... More

Although I loved the walk in the tree tops I found it overpriced and more like an conveyor belt operation. There was no personal touch about it.

I've visited Castlecomer Discovery Park many times over the past few years - there always seems to be something new happening. My most recent visit was with the family for their Christmas event where we got to visit Santa, Mrs Claus and we went on the train to see the new Elf Village. All in all this was a lovely... More
