A great family day out.

Fab walking areas, Tree Top Climbing Frame for all the family to enjoy. Feed the ducks, go out on the boats etc.

There is a choice of pleasant walks around the grounds and also there is lots for the children to enjoy including "a fairy village". After your efforts you can visit the coffee-shop/restaurant.

Beautiful park area with a huge lake. It was nice to learn more about the coal mining industry that was a big part of Castlecomer life. The Discovery Park also has a cafe, lovely craft shops and a informative tour of the mining culture.

Had a couple of days exploring Castlecomer area and the Discovery Park and had a brilliant time there. The walks around the Estate are fabulous and we were blessed with lovely September sunshine. I had a relaxing afternoon fly fishing and even the Rainbow Trout seemed to enjoy playing hide and seek with me!. Day two and the lovely Liz... More

Something for all age groups. The more adventurous of our family group choose the tree top walk/climbing experience. One of the group choose to opt out after the practice area had been negotiated, but regretted it almost as soon as her feet touched the ground ( she has vowed to try on another occasion). Two of our party hired fishing... More

The woods are great for walking in and the cafe is lovely. They really dealt with a large crowd well. I had went with my wife and her niece... More

Castlecomer Discovery Park is ideal for a family day out. There are nice walks with interesting things to share with children such as the tree houses and the lake. There is also a tree top walk for the more adventurous and a herd of deer to watch. For the adults there are little craft shops and a nice eating area... More

Seem to have still a lot to do to this place. So not a lot to discover, unless you do a bit of tree top walking.
