The reception area, coffee shop and craft area are great. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Large car park available. The walk to the Fairy area is pretty uninteresting but it's worth the walk as it brings you to the fairy village and the picnic area. This is also where the low level adventure course is, which was perfect... More

The park is great for all ages, we have two kids aged 11 and 16 months, and while the 11 year old and myself did the tree top walk, my husband and the baby enjoyed the playground and forest walks. The staff on the tree top course and climbing wall were great, very friendly, encouraging and funny, and the course... More

brilliant walks in this park and challenging things for the kids to do, like the tree top walk. not the best place on a wet day but lots of fun nevertheless. it has a spacious café/ restaurant that serves simple good food.

Castlecomer discovery park is well worth a visit , what a gem of a place.we first walked around the ark , and the routes are easily mapped out into different lengths . You past the elf village and the tree house and on to the boating lake , then we returned to the playground where there are numerous picnic tables.... More

Nice place to spend time having a picnic and a stroll. Kids loved the fairy village. We didn't do the small kids treetop course as it looked a bit lame and not very good value for our kids at 6 and 8. Keep an eye out for wildlife - we saw a family of swans, which the kids enjoyed. Kids... More

An amazing place where you could spend hours and hours. Perfect place for a nice weekend off, the Elf village is wonderful and there are lot of activities there for an extra charge. We did the boating on the small lake there, 30 minutes for 10 euros for 2 people, and was actually funny! Highly recommended!

Nice parkland , beautiful courtyard with independent craft studios . Cafe at visitors centre good food and choice . Junior woodland adventure walk suitable for 4 yrs up . €5 per child but only allows them 2 attempts . A little bit mean as course is quite short. Perhaps an allocated time of unlimited attempts would be better as children... More

This is a great place to visit with young and old children with plenty to do to keep everyone happy. The new junior treetop walk for 3 to 7 yr olds is ideal for this age range and my two girls really loved it. The climbing wall / leap of faith and the main treetop walk are a must for... More

I'm a regular to Castlecomer Discovery Park and I bring the kids there a lot. The playground is okay but on my last visit to the woodland walk they've really improved the area with the fairy houses and new junior adventure climbing area. The lakes are always nice to walk around. Its a great place for all ages with the... More
