We were blessed, we arrived there in the evening in a camper van and were looking for somewhere to stay until our visit in the morning. we were... More

If you want to visit the craft shops you need to disregard any information on opening times and phone each shop, we visited on a weejpjday and only 1 shop was open. Lovely park and visitors centre

Went to Castlecomer discovery park with my boyfriend to do the tree tops adventure and we loved it!! The staff were great and really helpful, especially Stephen. It was great fun going around all the obstacles. We also did the climbing walk and the leap of faith, both of which were fantastic! I had never done anything like this before... More

We went on the Easter egg hunt and had a picnic in the yard before we left. The trail was just perfect for the age (4-6) of group. The yard has picnic tables and there is also an on site restaurant and really good playground. For older children there is a zip-wire but would advise you to book this online... More

We traveled out here to round out our day and as a result didn't do all the facility had to offer - we just toured the miners' museum, visited the artisans an shops, and had a snack. Based on this alone it is worth the jaunt from Kilkenny. The muuseum is well constructed with interesting and informative exhibits - even... More

Castlecomer Discovery Park is a great destination for all the family, we visited without any major expectation and were very impressed with the variety of activities on offer. Pros: Only €2 per car for entry to the park Beautiful forest walk, we also decided to take on the Orienteering course (extra €3 for maps etc) which the whole family including... More

I met up with a friends and her kids recently and we had a selection of different walks available to us to use. The children had a great time investigating the area as we leisurely walked around. Playground was great fun and the outdoor adventure activities (tree climbing, absailing etc) looking great fun. Lovely cafe/restaurant on site was an added... More
