Myself and my family found ourselves a little restless and looking forward to exploring something different in Tralee recently so we were advised by the receptionist at our hotel to go here and were not disappointed. It was a lovely place to go for a walk and relax enjoying the surroundings. We actually didn't partake in much of the activities... More

An excellent attraction for both visitors and locals in Tralee. Thoroughly enjoyable. Visited in May based off recommendation in Lonely Planet and wasn't disappointed. Visit was in 3 parts- an audiovisual presentation which gave a good overview of the Tralee district land and coast and its inhabitants, exhibits explaining the concept of the wetland with lots of interactive units ideal... This is a little gem of a tourist attraction as well as an all year round wonder for locals. With a mix of interactive displays, a boat trip around a wildlife sanctuary and a world class depository of conservation knowledge this would already be worth a visit. If, however, you just want to have a light lunch and a cuppa... More

Do as much or as little as you want at the Tralee Bay Wetlands. Go for a slow stroll around the lake (perfect surface for walking sticks, bikes, buggies & wheelchairs) or hire a pedal boat on the lake (lifejackets provided). Shimmy up the new climbing wall or learn all about the diversity of the wetlands in a guided tour,... More

We just did the tour which involved a short video and then a boat ride around the wetlands, finishing off with a visit up the viewing tower which has amazing views! There are other activities to do which include, zorbing, climbing wall and paddle boats.

Found the café noisy and that tables were not cleaned immediately after use by others (despite staff being available). The staff did not impress at all and struck us as being untrained students who thought customers were people who interrupted the conversation they were having with colleagues. Can not comment on activities as we did not partake
