Love the areas we covered, but it was very bad value for money. When we arrived in Galway our mini bus driver acted like he was doing us a favour. The second driver that brought us on our hike would not allow on the bus with wet gear. we had to remove our booths and rain gear while standing in... More

We just completed the 6 day Dingle Way. Great organization of hikes, easy transaction, and very professional communications. Only minor snipe would be the distance and duration descriptions in hiking materials. B&B's were in great locations, well run, and comfortable. If this is your first Irish hiking adventure, be ready for legitimate climbing, wet weather, and bring water proof boots.

My husband and I have used many companies for self-guided walking tours in North America and Europe. We had a wonderful experience with South West Walks in May 2014 for 8 days in the Dingle Peninsula. We felt taken care of with great B&B bookings, good guides and maps, access to phone call and emails for advice along the way.... More

I made contact with SWW late last year to try and find a three week walking holiday trekking the West coast or Ireland, within a limited budget. Maurice and Linda seemingly came back with exactly what I thought I was looking for but ended up providing far beyond my expectations - one of the best experiences of my life, fulling... More

Our guided walk of the Dingle Peninsula in September 2013 was a long planned-for adventure with such a variety of terrain to keep our small hiking group constantly on our toes (well, not literally). The organisation, attention to detail and the camaraderie of guides, Tony and John (especially Tony) were exceptional. The Dingle Peninsula has it all as far as... More

My first hike with SWW Ireland was in June of 2007 and I had an amazing time. This past September my friend and I did a self-guided hike of the Dingle Peninsula. All the accommodations were comfortable, clean and the food was great. Maurice and Linda did a great job of communicating regularly and clearly with us. The hike instructions... More

Five friends and I did a hiking and music self guided tour of Doolin and Dingle. It was a custom trip to celebrate my 60th birthday. We all loved it. SW Walks invented this tour just for us and worked hard to make it a success. It was all I had dreamed of and more. Thank you SW Walks!

I went on a guided 6 day walk of the Burren, Aran Islands and Connemara with my sister in law and two others. Our guide, Mary, was an energetic and knowledgeable Irishwoman with a wee bit of leprechaun in her I think! We had an amazing week which was highly organised so we never had to think about transport, food... More

Our group of four women contracted with Southwest Ireland walks for a private guided tour of the Dingle, Beara and Ring of Kerry peninsulas. Our guide, Linda, planned our itinerary after carefully listening to our preferences. She was with us for the entire week, driving us skillfully to our daily hikes while making the history and lore of Ireland come... More
