Our guided walk of the Dingle Peninsula in September 2013 was a long planned-for adventure with such a variety of terrain to keep our small hiking group constantly on our toes (well, not literally). The organisation, attention to detail and the camaraderie of guides, Tony and John (especially Tony) were exceptional. The Dingle Peninsula has it all as far as... More

My first hike with SWW Ireland was in June of 2007 and I had an amazing time. This past September my friend and I did a self-guided hike of the Dingle Peninsula. All the accommodations were comfortable, clean and the food was great. Maurice and Linda did a great job of communicating regularly and clearly with us. The hike instructions... More

Five friends and I did a hiking and music self guided tour of Doolin and Dingle. It was a custom trip to celebrate my 60th birthday. We all loved it. SW Walks invented this tour just for us and worked hard to make it a success. It was all I had dreamed of and more. Thank you SW Walks!

I went on a guided 6 day walk of the Burren, Aran Islands and Connemara with my sister in law and two others. Our guide, Mary, was an energetic and knowledgeable Irishwoman with a wee bit of leprechaun in her I think! We had an amazing week which was highly organised so we never had to think about transport, food... More

Our group of four women contracted with Southwest Ireland walks for a private guided tour of the Dingle, Beara and Ring of Kerry peninsulas. Our guide, Linda, planned our itinerary after carefully listening to our preferences. She was with us for the entire week, driving us skillfully to our daily hikes while making the history and lore of Ireland come... More

May, 2013, my husband and I did the self guided Wicklow Way tour, organized by SWW and loved it. The trail was well marked and our instruction sheet accurate. Each town to which we travelled had a unique personality, with very different shops and restaurants. Food was great and we had no difficulty finding gluten free food. And we loved... More

We worked with Southwest Walks for a self-guided walk in Northern Ireland (Antrim Glens and Causeway Coast, including a day on Rathlin Island). The itinerary was perfect, each day different and interesting. The accommodations were clean and comfortable in small B&B's in the villages. The instructions and paths were easy to follow. They also transported us to and from Belfast.... More

In August 2012 I joined a walking week with SWWI for the third time during one year and what a lovely week it was. Experienced the beauty of Donegal with places like the pilgrim route of Glencolumbcille, Slieve League, Mt. Errigal, Bloody Foreland and Horn Head. The walks were from easy to challenging but every one of them was enjoyable... More

SWWI arranged a private two day tour of Cape Clear and Sherkin Island in June 2012. We were a three generation family group of twelve, ages 13-78. As Americans it was wonderful to see where my great grandparents lived before they emigrated around 1910. The lodging and meals were all well done and everything went off without a hitch. We... More
