My family and I took part in a guided hiking tour through South West Walks in September. We walked through the Dingle Peninsula and other areas in Killarney. Our guide Kay was excellen and my entire family had a tremendous trip. I can't even describe the beauty of the Irish countryside!

My brother, a friend and I just completed the Kerry Way hike in mid October. Being October, we expected some challenging weather however we only experienced one hiking segment that the weather was a challenging. Even that particular day was fantastic. The trail is very well marked and the detailed day by day hiking instructions that were provided, were spot... More

My husband and I recently completed the 8-day hike of the Kerry Way with South West Walks. We could not have enjoyed it more. The scenery was fantastic! The rock-strewn countryside of Kells, the pastoral settings from Sneem and coastal scenery in Derrynane National Park all provided varied and satisfying walks. A side trip to Skellig Michael was one a... More

Our group had a wonderful experience with Linda Woods, owner of South West Walks, ace hiking guide and overall lovely person. It was a great treat working with Linda and her staff, both before the tour, and during the trip itself. Her deep knowledge, professionalism, humor, and friendly personality were all a hit with my group of guests. We look... More

Love the areas we covered, but it was very bad value for money. When we arrived in Galway our mini bus driver acted like he was doing us a favour. The second driver that brought us on our hike would not allow on the bus with wet gear. we had to remove our booths and rain gear while standing in... More

We just completed the 6 day Dingle Way. Great organization of hikes, easy transaction, and very professional communications. Only minor snipe would be the distance and duration descriptions in hiking materials. B&B's were in great locations, well run, and comfortable. If this is your first Irish hiking adventure, be ready for legitimate climbing, wet weather, and bring water proof boots.

We had a wonderful experience with South West Walks in May 2014 for 8 days in the Dingle Peninsula. I made contact with SWW late last year to try and find a three week walking holiday trekking the West coast or Ireland, within a limited budget. Maurice and Linda seemingly came back with exactly what I thought I was looking for but ended up providing far beyond my expectations - one of the best experiences of my life, fulling... More

Our guided walk of the Dingle Peninsula in September 2013 was a long planned-for adventure with such a variety of terrain to keep our small hiking group constantly on our toes (well, not literally). The organisation, attention to detail and the camaraderie of guides, Tony and John (especially Tony) were exceptional. The Dingle Peninsula has it all as far as... More
