We scheduled our trip for August, 2007, and found the experience disappointing or dismaying at every stage. The advice on travel was confusing, the materials we received in Killarney not clear, and the B&B really low quality (and on the far edge of town from our trailhead for the next day). Several months ago we solicited advice from this forum regarding doing some serious walking (day hiking of approx 10 miles per day) in Ireland post son's wedding in Kilkenny.
