This round tower is one of the finest examples of its type in Ireland, currently being renovated it is well worth a visit ,the graveyard alongside is well maintained by a dedicated group of local people .The Church that was beside the tower was moved to Ballybunnion long time ago and serves as a library

Been here a few times , this time I noticed that they where repointing and a general clean up , which looked unsteady ,this makes me wonder how they built it back in the days where scaffolding didn't exist I just dread to think , the little grave yard at the Carpark was interesting to with the house looking tombs... I never knew there was one here. We stopped by to see it and it is in amazing shape. The monastery is cool to see and the round tower is well preserved. They are currently working on it but it was a pleasure to stop by. It had scaffolding on it the day we were there, I can only imagine... More

Easy to miss, as the single sign to it is often turned sideways by wind or local imps. Take a left down a long single lane road about a mile South of Ballyduff's town edge on the Tralee Road.

The Rattoo Round tower is a fantastic seane no matter what season! The tall tower is one of Irelands main historic features! You will get great pictures of the tower and enjoy the lovely countryside around it.

If you're on the Dingle Peninsula, and have stopped off to see Ardfert, you may as well stop here and have a look at a Monastic Round Tower. There aren't all that many left to be seen - and this one is a perfect example and is worth hunting down. There is a small sign pointing off the main road... More
