This was one of the highlights of our trip. We met Geoffrey at a site near Killarney and began a one hour session with he and Bolt, his falcon. The walk was on a road running along a field and on the other side trees. Geoffrey did a good job explaining the training of falcons, how they hunt in the... More

This was by far one of my best memories of our week in Ireland. We met Geoffrey at the hawk walk site and had a wonderful hour with Bolt and Geoffrey. He is very personable and a wealth of knowledge. My husband and I were both able to handle Bolt while we talked with Geoffrey. Being raptor fans ourselves, we... More

I have been wanting to do this for years. I thought handling the bird would be hard, but it was simply a matter of putting the glove on and my arm out for a perch (with some food treat in my fingers). And no the bird did not want to eat my ears or face. The guide clearly loves his... More

My friends and I decided to give this a try after reading all of the great reviews on TripAdvisor, and the experience certainly lived up to our high expectations! During the hour long hawk walk we not only got to have the hawk, Texas, land on our gloves and capture plenty of amazing photos with the bird, but we learned... More

Geoffrey was our guide and it was one of our favourite things we've done in Ireland! It was a relaxed walk through beautiful scenery and watching these birds gracefully move above us. I was on cloud 9. It was great. Geoffrey have us so much info about them and afterwards let us say hello to Daisy the barn owl. She... More

Gregory, our guide, created the most magical experience of our lives! We walked in the Killarney Forest and as we learned about falcons this majestic bird flew with us. Every time it landed on my glove I was amazed, it NEVER got old or boring!!! Every time it took my breath away... That combined with our guide made this the... More

Highly recommended! Read reviews about this on trip advisor and decided to give it a go. Our walk took place in Kenmare - saved us a trip to Killarney - and was definitely worth it. Fantastic experience, Geoff really knew his stuff. Bring a camera for some great pictures. Not to be missed when in Kerry.

We met our guide at a public park. It was Feb 2014, so the area was very wet. The forest area was very beautiful and green. Our guide introduced us to the hawk and discussed the type of hawk, the training, the diet, and many other falconry related things. The guide was very knowledgeable and experienced. As we walked along... More

I've just read all the fabulous reviews on here about The Killarney Falconry & my husband and I couldn't agree more. The only thing we can add is that our teenage son with special needs loved every minute of it too (so much so that we're booking to do it again for his birthday!!! :) A big thank you Geoffrey...
