The course was much too wet on January 16 to consider playing, but just driving through was a fascinating adventure. The views from several places on the drive were splendid: lake, fairways, mountains. Our guide told a classic Killarney weather story. He played the fifth hole three years ago and when he teed off the sun was shining. He hit... More

Both courses are wonderful, but the one North of the clubhouse we liked best. I remember huge deer grazing in the rough rather close to the fairways. A great sight. No caddy needed here.

We played Mahony's Point on Sunday afternoon after arriving from the US the same morning. A perfect course to start our trip. After a great breakfast in the clubhouse we changed and tee'd off. Not a links course but beautiful lakeside fairways and mountain views. Not as difficult as our subsequent rounds at Tralee, Old Head, Waterville or Ballybunion but... More

We played two courses at the Killarney Golf & Fishing Club, Mahony's Point and Killeen. Killeen was the more difficult of the two courses with the first few holes on the water. Killeen has also hosted the Irish Open a number of times. We had a great time playing. Steady pace and no one breathing down your neck.

I have been visiting Killarney and its golf courses since 1990, but not been back for several years. It was raining when I arrived and was so intense that our first game was cancelled due to the courses being closed. The following day we played Mahoney's which was still damp but well playable. The course is fun to play, especially... More

We weren't sure if you were allowed access to the restaurant, but the large sign on the roadside made us curious and we ventured in. The food was good bar food, but we did feel like noses were being turned up at us. That hasn't put us off going back though, as it is on one of the many cycle... More

Just recently played Mahoney's Point and it was in beautiful shape. Except for two greens that had just recently been dressed the course was in fantastic shape. Had a 8:30 am tee time and we were really surprised that the course was empty. Had a great lunch in the restaurant after the round.

What a great course with a mix a lakeside holes - very challenging hole 10 when you golf to the lake - and parkland ones with beautiful views to surrounding mountains. Very nice staff at reception, pro shop and in Club House. High quality clubs, close to my own set home.

I played both Killeen and Mahoney's Point. Both in great shape and fun. Great views of the National Park, lake and mountains. If you want a knowledgeable caddy ask for John. He is a bit loquacious but a great green reader and course manager.
