We, along with several other groups of tourist, took a nice moderate hike up to Torc Falls. The path was well worn for easy travel, but there are a few places where it can be a bit of a workout. The falls seems to appear out of nowhere. It was a lovely place to hike to, and ended up being... More

This was a quick drive outside of Killarney. The falls were a short walk from the car park. You are greeted by the sound of water trickling down stream. You follow the stream all the way up to the falls. It was breath taking! The forest was covered in a beautiful green moss. I felt like I was in a... More

Waterfall is only a short distance from parking area, but continue up the path only a short distance for great views over the lakes. At the car park there is a notice board guide to loop walks around the waterfall and mountain. Worth doing one of these (there is a short, medium and long). Walks well sign posted. A little... More

It's worth the 5 extra min drive from muck more house on main road to view torc waterfall. The entrance to forest with moss covered trees and the noise of water. The gradual slope up to waterfall and waterfall itself worth the visit. Especially after night of rainfall made it more powerful.

We went on the easy/shortest walk on a Sunday afternoon. It was very busy, lots of other tourists on the same walk. Despite this, it was easy to enjoy the beauty. The trees were as notable as the waterfall. Some really old moss ridden, majestic beauties. We had four kids under 10 with us and they found the steps up... More

The short hike to the waterfall was easy and the views of the falls were beautiful. There were also multi-length and difficulty hikes from the same location with beautiful views. Note:There was a warning about leaving valuables in the cars due to thefts.

We took a jaunting cart with horse from the Muckross House. Lots of people make the walk and I don't think it would be too tiring. We couldn't do it as we were traveling with a 3 year old toddler. The cart dropped us off at the bridge. We walked through the lovely mossy forest (AMAZING) and took the steps... More

The waterfall is an easy walk and it is well worth it! you feel as if you are entering a secret world. The trees with the moss are mesmerizing and make you look for leprechauns that may be hiding by their roots. Only problem, the rain.
