This was one of my favorite stops in Ireland, it was an absolutely beautiful place to hike, take photographs and just be. The only unfortunate part was the midges (tiny little bugs) many of us received bites on exposed skin- particularly our hands. They were bad around the base of the fall but not a much as you hiked further... More

I advise to start a route t Killarney's national park that will ultimately lead you to the waterfall, and not go straight to it. The waterfall is impressive and lies amid greenery that makes you believe in leprechauns and fairies, as well as forest spirits. Can get a bit croudy due to tourists.

We had a short stop here on our tour last week. It's really dramatic and beautiful, and only a short walk from the car park to the waterfall. Absolutely stunning.

If you haven't seen this waterfall then it's something to put on the agenda while in Kerry....bit of a trek to get to it but well worth the effort. Beautiful and the kids had a great time!

The waterfall is a beautiful attraction in Killarney. It is accessible by car and a 5 minute walk up a slight incline, or a 35 - 45 minute walk from Muckross House, that is a relatively flat. You could also take a jaunting car from Muckross House. We chose to walk from Muckross House and we were coming back close... More

Worth the trip !!! I recommend taking the carriage ride... Our jaunty Michael was wonderful and informative - took us to the gardens, the falls and a sweet little ride about town.

An easy walk from the car park - just a few minutes away is this stunning waterfall - well worth a visit. We went on to do the yellow (easy) walk which was very enjoyable too. I would highly recommend both the falls and the walk.
