Walking along the trail to the fall the green of Ireland is more than evident. Extensive growth of moss on the trees and rocks contrasts beautifully with the white of the rushing water of the fall.

The hike to the falls was not strenuous. It is a big tourist attraction and the parking is a little limited. The little hike to the falls was a nice stop on the ring of kerry. The geology was interesting

We were lucky enough to see the waterfall on a day when it was cascading. You can take the more strenuous Torc Mountain Walk to get to the top, but due to time constraints, we took an easier route. Either way, it's a must see in Killarney National Park.

Park just off Muckross Rd. trail is well marked and your instantly feeling as if you're in a deep woods with moss and tree cover. Incline is gradual and mostly free of rocks.

The falls themselves are nice, nestled into the beautiful Irish woods. The pony trap ride was 10 euro per person and worth every penny. The... More

The nicest part of this trip was when beyond the maddening crowd following the waymarked blue trail. Local tourist board you are missing a trick. Get some of theae tracks open for mountain biking. There is a whole mega industry out there.
