We hired a car and drove The Kerry Way. It is extremely beautiful and yes would not want to miss the opportunity. However its a very long winding busy busy road. It took us about 6 hours . We had great weather . Would not do this drive in any other conditions.. There were many beautiful stop and photo opportunities.... More

This area is so beautiful! The scenery is amazing! Even though we went on Christmas eve, there was still some places open to stop for a bite to eat. Plus there wasn't heaps of people. We were lucky and got a clear, sunny day so the views were stunning!

Liked: wonderful drive, beautiful scenery, excellent places to stop for food. Disliked: the tourist buses. Thankfully, there weren't too many.

Took the O'Connor tour and it was quite nice. Once we drove it ourselves, but the tour was a much better way of seeing it.

When visiting this area right now Carrie is an absolute must to do. Gloriously pretty road and a day adventure. It gives one a tremendous appreciation of this region. Many lovely stops along the way with small pubs and restaurants. You can't go wrong unless you're driving into Gale

Done the ring of Kerry by coach and it is one of the most picturesque areas that we saw in Ireland. Changing vistas make this a very nice drive.

This was a lovely way to spend the morning. We stopped in Waterville, which is a halfway point. It was a vacation spot for Charlie Chaplin and his family. They have a statue of him on the waterside of the road. We stopped for lunch (it was okay), and enjoyed the scenery. Lots of people milling about here. We drove back... More
