Great road for Rally of the lakes but you have to be careful with all the bends some are very sharp and watch out for the sheep in the road.

Beautiful View, but not a place you will necessarily want to linger. Not a lot of parking. There is a shop with cafe if you need a snack.

This has to be the most spectacular beautiful road in all of Ireland. It is worth driving ofcourse be aware of the coaches going anticlockwise on the Ring of Kerry. in the summer Late evening is most spectacular and car free.

Found this road very fun and surprizing to ladies view Lots of great views of the lake and the surrounding mountains The tunnel can be dangerous is a bus or van comes by but it usually sorts itself out and traffic doesn't get to big Got some great snaps up along this road

It was really small streets and winding roads to Kenmare from Killarney but the views are stunning and we loved the town of Kenmare. Super cute and not too touristy.

This was a windy, narrow road but packed in beauty in every inch. The road went through some beautiful scenery and the tunnels carved from rock were very interesting...only thing better than looking at the carved rock tunnels were watching the busses and motor coaches trying to get thru them. Worth the ride..

If you go to Ladies View or do the ring of Kerry, you'll pass through it! Amazing to think it was chipped through by hand.

I see a lot of people writing about the fantastic Old Road of Kenmare, that they drove... Well, as the real Old Road of Kenmare is a walking route through the mountains, it isn't possible to drive this road at all... But for those, who like the N71: believe me, that real Old Road of Kenmare is even much better!... More

Drove down the Old Kenmare road through the National Park. Twisty narrow roads with some breath taking scenery. A lot of cyclists on the road and coaches so have to be cautious when driving.
