We arrived just as school was letting out and they had started cleaning the main church. I asked if we could take photos and with a large smile and open arms we were told to take as many as we liked. The gentleman came back in a few moments and asked if we would hang around for 5 minutes he... More

Before you enter it is already a beautifull picture, but when you get into the cathedral, it is gorgeous. Just walk around take some pictures and take a look of everything that is up on the walls.

The church is huge! It has a modern feel to it with the alter being lit up, but at the same time the stone structure gives it an old feeling.

There was a mass on, so we were only able to look in the window. The cathedral looked amazing and would be worth a visit!

Throughout Europe you can be overwhelmed with the interesting historical value of the various brand-name cathedrals----this is one you don't want to miss. Great care has been taken to preserve its significance.

Killarney Cathedral is situated in the centre of Killarney. There are some car parking spaces outside but tends to be in high demand. It is a large, distinctive Victorian building. Inside there are heavy stone ‘gothic’ style pillars and lovely stained glass windows and under each one is a plaque which explains the scene in the window. Depending on where... More

Stained glass was beautiful, stone work was amazing and the size and scope are breathtaking. I love stained glass and this church did not disappoint!
