I passed by non the coach several times. I love Putin's design I.e Westminster and St.Chad's cathedral Birmingham. This Church was as breathtaking. No plaster on the wall, this made it unique. Beautiful stained windows and high ceilings. A must for all religious backgrounds. The tree at the front, is sad. A mass grave for where 100's of children are... More

We were lucky enough to be staying next door to here and just wandered in one morning. Lovely little cathedral architecturally.

Built around the mid 1800's, it is of Gothic Revival construction. The cathedral is Roman Catholic in faith.

First off, in full disclosure-we attended mass at this beautiful cathedral to celebrate my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary. Fr. Kiernan was tremendously accommodating (and looks like a young Chris Noth) and made the whole family feel welcome. Sheila in the parish office was lovely too, making all the arrangements with us in the states ahead of time. The Cathedral is... More

When we visited on a Friday, there was a funeral mass being said, then preparations were being made for a wedding. The church is very accessible and you can tell it is very valued by the local residents.

The church dating to construction from 1842-1855 was designed by the renowned English Architect Augustus Pugin. It is one of the most important and best Gothic Revival churches in Ireland. The width of the nave is based on medieval models found elsewhere in Ireland. The west end is very Irish with three tall lancet windows and a very low entrance... More

Finally something to visit in Ireland where there is not entrance fee. The church form both inside and out is certainly worth a look.

The cathedral was a surprise. It has a certain charm , very clean and looks brand new. Generally I do not like churches, but this one is worth a look inside.

The stained glass windows were super and the stations of the cross were very well done. There was a local worker at the church willing to answer questions about the church, Very Good place to visit.

Standing tall in the heart of Killarney town centre is this amazing building. It is beautiful inside and out, if you like culture, architecture, history or religion then I would recommend a visit.
