St. Mary's Cathedral is a must see in Killarney! This historic cathedral is in magnificent shape, but the story told on the inside is one that should not be missed. You will find this cathedral to be a place of great peace and encouragement at any time.

I've been here several times over the years and always found peace, quiet and spiritual beauty inside. Not gigantic but well proportioned and graceful with brilliant stained glass and intimate alcoves for prayer and reflection. I attended a mass Christmas day which was warm and sincere. The priest spoke of families and that even Jesus's family had it's share of... More

Beautiful to see and read about the history of this building. Like all places of worship there's great calming all round.

The interior is quite stunning, magnificent soaring ceilings, beautiful stained glass and overall quite impressive. We went on a rainy day, walked around at our leisure and took in the serene beauty of the cathedral. We toured at our leisure, lit prayer candles and just sat....it is well worth the trip. I think there are many things to do while... More

Gothic Revival edifice in Killarney designed by Pugin...gorgeous building in grey stone and a beautiful interior with soaring stained glass widows. A very tranquil place for worship and reflective thought....visit today took in the amazing Nativity which is still in place in the cathedral following the Christmas Celebrations, one of the best I have ever seen. A must see when... More

This cathedral is central in Killarny and easy walking distance from hotels. I loved the architecture and the stained glass windows were very beautiful. There are many churches and ruined church sites but this is a real cathedral.

This was my favorite Cathedral I visited on my Ireland trip. The stain glass is worth the visit. I also learned the bell at this Cathedral is from Philadelphia Pa.

Places to light candles, with beautiful prayers as suggestions, were perfect invitations to slow down and pray. There was even a prayer I brought home about slowing down. The interior is magnificent and I wished I'd had time to go back for mass. They have it on line so that you can see liturgies.

A must visit, this beautiful Pugin Cathedral is a peaceful prayerful place in the hustle and bustle of Killarney. It is same design as Enniscorthy Co. wexford, but very different inside.
