We had time to spend and the cathedral is very beautiful and peaceful. Photographs welcome. There are many cathedrals in Ireland, this one is in itself very lovely and peaceful. A great place for quite prayer as well as enjoying the old architecture.

A little walk but well worth the effort! The church is just so beautiful! Take your time looking at everything including all the little prayer spaces. Don't forget to get some holy water to take home!!!

Coming from Newcastle on Tyne with its own beautiful Pugin St Mary's Cathedral, it was a surprise and delight to find this Pugin masterpiece. It looks magnificent from the outside set in its own grounds with an impressive spire reaching to the heavens. Inside the heavy stone and lack of decoration is lightened by the Gothic design and the whole... More

Stunning Cathedral. If you visiting Killarney you have to visit. We took a walk around the cathedral and then walked inside. We stayed there for a while. We felt that this place gives a very pleasant feeling. Stunning. It's free of charge.

Attended mass here at the cathedral and found the building to be absolutely awesome. The priest did an excellent job with his homily. The people there were very friendly and welcoming.

magnificent building, and surroundings, evident that this cathedral is used for the community and visitors alike regardless of their faith The doors of this church are open. Which sends out an invitation of openness, and that all are welcome . Architecture inside and out is outstanding . Take time to visit you wont be disappointed

We visited St.Mary's while doing a walk around Killarney. Was truly amazing and we loved it dearly. Great location and if you just cross the street there is a small playground for children. We didn't get to enjoyment to much time inside as their was a ceremony going on.

I've been to Pugin churches before, yet this, built in the local greeny-grey stone, was very different to the others I've seen. It's very plain, except in two side-chapels, where there are examples of mosaics. It's also extremely lofty with soaring arches. I love old churches, and although this isn't very old, it's a living place of worship and the... More
