Which sends out an invitation of openness, and that all are welcome . Architecture inside and out is outstanding . Take time to visit you wont be disappointed

We visited St.Mary's while doing a walk around Killarney. Was truly amazing and we loved it dearly. Great location and if you just cross the street there is a small playground for children. We didn't get to enjoyment to much time inside as their was a ceremony going on.

I've been to Pugin churches before, yet this, built in the local greeny-grey stone, was very different to the others I've seen. It's very plain, except in two side-chapels, where there are examples of mosaics. It's also extremely lofty with soaring arches. I love old churches, and although this isn't very old, it's a living place of worship and the... More

Situated in the middle of a field this amazing example of Gothic Revival Architecture captures the history of Ireland. The tall redwood tree out front stands as a memorial grave for children who passed during the great famine. The cathedral was used as a hospital and shelter during the Great Famine. Remarkable place to visit and worship!

Grand cathedral but I advise a very early morning start to avoid noise and crowds of people! Spectacular interior. Take in the silence.

This amazing cathedral is within walking distance of High Street in Killarney. The exterior is beautiful but the interior is breathtaking. The stained glass is great and whike walking around I was in awe of the workmanship. I would say this is definitely a much see if you come to Killarney!

Visiting from the U.S. it is amazing to see a building founded in 1168 and still being used for it's original purpose. The U.S. is only 200 years old and we just don't have this kind of history to admire. It was very sobering to think about all the history that had taken place on the ground we were standing.... I've been here a few times and I have to say the cathedral is absolutely beautiful. It would be lovely to attend mass here, I've only been in quickly to say a few prayers. The interior of the building is stunning and very grand, great architecture worth a visit while in Killarney :-)
